"We're Man City, we'll go when we want"
I was at Anfield and don't really remember them. They are a myth in my opinion. I agree the City supporters were good today. The fans stayed with the team today. Was a decent atmosphere despite the result.
Almost always underwhelmed by Liverpool fans at our place (I was at Anfield this season and that was very loud tbf). You'd think they'd be bouncing throughout, 2 up at biggest rivals in recent years, about to win the first title they can celebrate for 30 odd years. But took until 82nd minute to get properly going.
Fair enough. I've been to Anfield a few times and never been impressed until this season.I was at Anfield and don't really remember them. They are a myth in my opinion. I agree the City supporters were good today.
They were really loud this season in fairness to them, but again, like you say they’re not usually all that at home to City.Fair enough. I've been to Anfield a few times and never been impressed until this season.
Probably because they used to know they were in for a hard game with a slim chance of winning. Nerves is a big factor when it comes to atmosphere.Being honest, Liverpool were good first half and for the last 10-15 minutes. They aren’t usually at our place, but they were today, good variety of songs and loud. Then again they’ve waited 10 years nearly to get one over on a City team that’s now a shadow of its former self. And would we make a ton of noise at their place if we went 2-0 up in the first half before coasting to a win? Of course we would, even with a load of knobheads wearing Barcelona tops.
I’m in South Stand upper myself. I’d prefer it if you were right tbh - there wasn’t as much noise around me in 315 as there usually is for big games - heads dropped, although I did hear some singing from the back of the stand. They weren’t really loud in the third tier of the South Stand. 80 minutes onwards yes but before that they were terrible. Let’s have it right we were louder and were losing.

The back third of 117 seems to be where all the singing comes from in SSL1 these days.Liverpool fans were pretty shit on L1.
Some singing at times during that match, but neither constant singing or really loud singing.
I thought 111, 110 and 109 were excellent today, especially in the 2nd half.
What has happened to the South stand?
Bar some loud moments, it was pretty quiet again, with different parts of SSL1 singing their own songs.
Will the person at the back of 115 please stop banging that piece of metal which sounds like a snare drum. It's fucking all the chants up.

Nah, best dipper away end we’ve had in years that today let’s be honestBy far the worst dipper end I've heard at the Etihad. we've smashed them for 4 or 5 before and heard more noise from the few dozen of them that didn't leave early. Poor away end by any standards but a genuinely awful away end when you're winning comfortably at your biggest rivals and got the league sewn up. Wasnt complaining but thought it was genuinely bizarre. Noticably distinct lack of scouse twang in their songs when they did bother to sing, I bet I live closer to anfield than 90% of that away end.
That’s the view I got. The kippax corner we’re getting louder throughout the second half.Kippax Corner were class today.
When ‘Follow You Everywhere’ got going second half, Liverpool fans were doing this weird mocking-the-disabled sort of action when City fans sang the ‘awoooooo’ bit, thinking they were being funny… yet that just seemed to galvanise the City fans in 110-111 and they sang it for a good 8 minutes non-stop.
Lpool fans were quiet as a mouse for a good while after that.
