First of all, we’d like to say a huge thanks to all of you for being part of our Atmosphere Supergroup for 2018/19.
After every game, we collate your SMS scores and the comments from the game-by-game surveys to provide our Events team with the ‘story of the game’. They find your input invaluable at helping them to keep their fingers on the pulse and use it to shape what they do. Here’s what they had to say:
“Thank you for your ongoing support and feedback with regards the atmosphere in the Etihad. It’s really helpful to hear each week what our fans like and, arguably more importantly, don’t like. Your ongoing feedback is crucial so that we can try to create the right conditions in the stadium and campus for a good atmosphere to flourish. The time taken to give us feedback is really appreciated and crucial to the work we are trying to do. MCFC OK!”
Now another Premier League season is over, we’d like to share some of the headline findings from the 2018/19 season:
- You told us the best atmosphere was our recent Champions League home game against Tottenham. Other great atmospheres were against Man United, Liverpool and Leicester – take a look at the photos to relive some of those moments!
- At the other end of the scale, the atmosphere you gave the lowest rating was our home loss against Lyon in the Champions League group stage back in September.
- Turning to Wembley, the atmosphere for our Carabao Cup Final win scored 3.6 out of 5, and you rated the atmosphere at the FA Cup Final at 4.7 out of 5.
Now thinking about next season, what do you think the the Club could do to help the fans make as much noise as possible in the stadium?
