Atmosphere Thread | 2025/26

Lad and his son were City fans from Kolne next to me tonight. Joined in with all the chants, the young lad shouted at the ref a few times and made a few laugh.

Didn’t notice any Galatasaray fans anywhere around me. Loads of half’n’jalf scarfers, but if they were Gala fans they were well behaved and didn’t make it known.

Only a few torches on the phones, most around me were kids in City scarves doing it.
Colne Lancs ?

Didn’t look that bad on the tele at all, was expecting much worse. Those that are saying it was bad that were there - are we talking the upper tiers being empty?
SSL3+CBL3 had big chunks of seats empty.

SSL3 is probably because many with the cheapest STs can’t afford to be in the CL Cup Scheme as it’s like that for most CL games. And they get slung out of there for domestic Cup games so probably aren’t in those Schemes either.

CBL3 is because that’s how many tickets usually get dished out to the ticket tout sites.

Here’s the SS as the teams came out.

I was expecting much worse visually. Just watching the highlights again and I’d have guessed at 48k based on the clips showing the stands. But it can’t have been that many.

48k was our capacity sweet spot, this white elephant Hotel end stand can keep the covers on

Was it just me or did the away fans chuck a flare into our end?
Yes and Gala fan in black next to us which UEFA says we have to give to away fans got taken out for chucking a bottle of water towards the pitch invaders. Not sure why the Turks were so incensed by the Iranian flag of the old regime. Irony is that one of them shouted that they are terrorist supporters, I asked what his president is and the Cypriot occupation and the slaughter by the Turks of the Kurds and Syrians. Funnily enough not another peep.

It looked ok on telly
Didn’t notice as many empty seats as Brighton for example

What’s happened our fanbase this year though?

If we get to Wembley in the Carabao will we sell out?

It's clear that City fans are weary after 2 years of the 115 case. 2 years of negativity in the press. 2 years of defending the club through thick and thin against nobheads at work. We need a shot in the arm from somewhere. But the club seems more concerned with rinsing us. That's what hurts the most I think. Hopefully the news comes out soon and the club starts building some bridges. Credit to pep for sticking around through this time. He deserves a lot of respect for that alone.
Absolute nonsense.
115 nothing to do with it.
Bizarre thought process to even think that way.
Christmas / January pay days / Football saturation / Ticket prices all play their part.
I’m on the FA Cup and Champions League cup scheme but having to swerve next Wednesday as I’m hoping to get to Wembley if we get there and cost comes into it.
Not once have I ever thought of the 115 in relation to attending a match and neither have any of my pals.
And I sang until I could sing no more tonight.

There was a lot of emptys, particularly in CB top tier.
Although those that did make the effort to go, made twice as much noise as we did on Saturday.

Fair play to you but thats a very subjective response. Group behaviour en masse is a different beast. Bizarre that you can't think outside your experiences with your mates.

Of all the blues I know I doubt anyone cares about the verdict of 115. If we were guilty tomorrow we'd still be at the next game. Poor excuse for tonight's attendance that!

We'll defend this club everyday of the week
