But you can stand in the South Stand and around to Block 109 (safe standing would be more ideal but these people are still on their feet), the problem is those 'vocal areas' now appear to have been infiltrated by people whose passion to sing is gone or who have no intention to in the first place.
The way forward is collaboration and organisation. The NYCFC thing mentioned is the perfect inspiration, but it needs *club* backing at City. The 1894 Group is the ideal name and front for this, but City should help by alerting more people to its existence and sectioning off a block or two in the expansion and making a concerted effort to fill these with people who will create an atmosphere for 90 minutes.
Reach out to people, work with them individually to get them a seat that would suit them (ie. I like an aisle seat, someone else might want 3 central seats with his mates), and get it going for next season in a new block.
You can stand yes, but only in front of your seat mileas away from your mates who bought tickets earlier/later than you. How can we have standing of a few thousand in lower league but have a total ban (even of a few thousand) in the top two leagues? It doesn't make sense!
Because people as a majority want to sit in their seats.
(For the record I stand in my seat because no one is behind me up on level 3.)
