Unless standing returns atmosphere at all Premier clubs is poor (in comparison to lower league and Europe).

But you can stand in the South Stand and around to Block 109 (safe standing would be more ideal but these people are still on their feet), the problem is those 'vocal areas' now appear to have been infiltrated by people whose passion to sing is gone or who have no intention to in the first place.

The way forward is collaboration and organisation. The NYCFC thing mentioned is the perfect inspiration, but it needs *club* backing at City. The 1894 Group is the ideal name and front for this, but City should help by alerting more people to its existence and sectioning off a block or two in the expansion and making a concerted effort to fill these with people who will create an atmosphere for 90 minutes.

Reach out to people, work with them individually to get them a seat that would suit them (ie. I like an aisle seat, someone else might want 3 central seats with his mates), and get it going for next season in a new block.

You can stand yes, but only in front of your seat mileas away from your mates who bought tickets earlier/later than you. How can we have standing of a few thousand in lower league but have a total ban (even of a few thousand) in the top two leagues? It doesn't make sense!

Because people as a majority want to sit in their seats.

(For the record I stand in my seat because no one is behind me up on level 3.)

The atmosphere was disappointing to say the least. It was flat. Ten years ago we were genuinely a passionate fortress. Against Roma, it was flat.

I know its midweek and I know its expensive. As a result I cant go a massive amount. But the atmosphere needs to improve.

It does make me laugh when our opposing fans start to sing 'where were you when you were shit?'

We were at the stadium singing.

That's a default football song, of course they are going to sing it.

Will people please stop being blinded by nostalgia.

The atmosphere was miles better ten years ago then now. At Maine road yea it wasn't amazing evert game, but it beat the hell out of the atmosphere we have now. I don't remember to many people complaining about it then.

I even remember at the Etihad a few years back agaisnt derby where the whole crowd got up and was singing. It's getting worse year on year, but people say things like oh but main road you could hear a pin drop. I'm sorry but the atmosphere at main road shits all over what we have now

1894 get a block sorted out when the stadiums expands. You've got lots of support. It's our only chnsce of improving the atmosphere. Fill it with singers no arms folded brigade.

Do you ever make a positive contribution to a thread on this forum or do you just get your kicks by posting silly sarcastic comments in reply to others on here who do?
One sad person you really are.

How is it ?. I used to go to games and enjoy the atmosphere at Maine road. Yea it wasn't amazing all the time, but it was better than what we have now. We have no one singing, cheering or anything
