atmosphere

Whoever decides when music is played is fucking useless. Last night the music was off for a minute or so pre-match and blue moon got going and was spreading round the ground and then some prick decided to play He Jude at full volume.

I was amazed when that happened. The sooner they scrap all music the better.

was in 211 last night, superb atmosphere throughout the game from where I was standing.

No it wasn't superb, it was average at best. Singing for 10mins at the start, then wait for a goal.
There's a few of us at the back that sing, the rest just sit and wait for a chance to moan. It's been like that in there for years, unless we play the shite!

I sit on the back row of 211 and we've had a running joke that nobody joins in the singing till we're 2 goals in front.
This season, it's gone up to 3 in front.

I do think a few could put a bit more effort in...

lol...thats how it seems to me....i'm in 111 below you and we have not been anywhere near as noisy or relaxed as we have been previous seasons....too much anticipation, leads to tension and people just stand there biting their nails

A random was sat next to me last night, not the usual guy. No word of a lie, he did not say or sing anything the whole game. All he did was eat softmints - a full 2 packets! No encouragement for the team, no Poznan, not even an aknowledgment of my "evening mate" when he first took to his seat. Very bizzare.

I think we'll do better away from home in this group. Teams are used to playing in hostile atmospheres across Europe, then they come to our place and it's just too nice. It puts their players at ease straight away.

Better than Wigan, still not quite good enough. Too many nervous people after half an hour and that passes on to the team when the atmosphere drops and the opposition become the vociferous force in your own back yard. Also while I undoubtedly believe that our children are the clubs future, there just seemed to be a few too many under 15's shall we say in the South stand with parents etc, this rules a lot of them out of certain songs and also limits there confidence to start a lot of the atmosphere.

Last night 7/10 (just about)
