Hitler quoted the Romans but I doubt they intended auschwitz, Stalin quoted Marx who would have abhorred his totalitarianism, the KKK always quoted the bible as they lynched people - just as this evil quote the Koran. Using a religion or interpreting a religion or a philosophy to suit your ends does not make the whole religion responsible.
The people responsible are the people who did it with the people who helped them.
