Attending my first ever City game on 26th Oct

My dad took me to Maine rd in the late 60s I think. We were playing Leicester city after the 1969 final the year before and got in late and missed a goal. I’m a FOC and think we won 3-1. Anyway my over bearing memory was the MASSIVE lights.

My first game was against Forest 3-3 what got me was the colour, only having seen grainy black and white pictures.

Marble Arch for a pint, then walk over the Rudy’s at Cutting Room Square for pizza and pint, then walk to Cask at New Islington Marina for one, walk up canal to stadium. You could then see what the Coop live is like pre match. I’ve not been but you have to buy a ticket I believe from the club. Then go to the match.

Might be better not to have to rely on the trains being on time/in service on a Sunday. Probably the worst day for it, if you plan on cutting it close to catch a flight. Flying back from Manchester or on the Monday from Birmingham(after staying the night) would be a safer choice.
