Its near marienplatz and rightup your street Allan. Absolute carnage.

Cheers blue, I was a bit disappointed that the Oktoberfest wasn't going to be on but having read what you've just said about Hofbrauhase I can't wait to visit it!

Will be there with my little boy. Booked an apartment near Main station. Will go out to the Augustiner Cellar. Had a big time there at our CL match two years ago. Also a good pub was the Australian Pub in the city centre. I just can't remember the name. Big party after the match last time. In the ground we got tickets from the Bayern Ticket office, Block 115...hopefully no problems for little boys in sky blue shirts.

Cheers

Why should there be? You know - we Germans eat kids... ;)

I think none of the City fans had any problems in Munich at the competitive encounter 2 years ago. And the Audi Cup is more a summerly gettogether from some big clubs. You have the chance to see more or less the whole squads of them on both days - stars and reserves - and it is nice to win but does not matter if you do not.

You know - every country has its assholes - and you might meet some of the German ones as much as that can happen to you to meet the same kind of people in England, France or every other country.

I do not know how old your son is and how much time you spent in Munich - but there is a lot to do in Munich apart from drinking and watching football. There is e.g. a sealife in the Olympiapark, a zoo and for technically interested the German museum just is a great place to go to.

There are few better places in the world than Munich for an away trip. Stayed there for pre-season game against Munich 1860, then Salzburg (Europa League), Bayern (Champions League) and last year when we played the friend lies in Innsbruck I passed through. Wish I was doing this one. I am sure it will be fantastic and I am sad I can't make it.

Great city, great people, great beer, good food, plenty of culture.

And there are a couple of City games too.

I'll be there (for all the above). Had a great couple of days in Munich two years ago in the Champs League.
