2 games in 2 days...Surely we'll put out two completely different sides?

Can't imagine a different scenario. Especially that there will be probably no occasion to play at low-tempo and rest a bit while playing against Milan and then, hopefully, Bayern. The biggest problem is a centre-back position where (Nastasic injured) we have only two primary centre backs and two substitutes: Javi Garcia and Micach Richards, but playing Richards as a CB leaves us with no choice at right full back, so there surely will be a lot of dilemas for Pellegrini. However, this is a great scenario for pre-season. If we want to push for PL, CL and minor-cups throughout the season then we will have to rotate the squad frequently.

we'll travel with some EDS lads for sure to make up the numbers, as even if we had 2 for every position/22 total first team players, Silva, Navas, Jovetic, Aguero wouldn't play 90 anyway.

Still a friendly but valuable first team time for Suarez, Razak and co against top teams

Got to say it, gutted.

Can't get the time off work.

Saying that, I'll use the money for a CL away game instead.

City v Milan - Audi Cup

Feel this game deserves it's own thread. I'd like to see how you feel City will line-up, their objective, and the result. Will be a cracker of a match I feel, especially with a few favorites going up against their former clubs (Nige and mario... Robinho is out for weeks to months)

Ideally, Milan will set up like this:

abbiati
abate - mexes - zapata - de sciglio
poli - NDJ - montolivo
boateng
balotelli - el shaarawy

But due to match fitness, Im not sure how we'll start off, or how long these players will last (all Confed players have just returned less than a week ago)

Milan are, as always, playing it slow in the mercato - Honda and Ljajic both on the cusp of signing, with galliani trying to squeeze every ounce of juice from the deals - wish even one was here, but let's speak of the present.

Will be a physical, but also sloppy game, imo.

If this doesn't end 2-2, Ill go with City slipping by 3-2

Re: City v Milan - Audi Cup

Really looking forward to this game, be good to see Mario and Nige again. Hopefully we can perform like we did when we smashed inter milan in a pre-season friendly a couple of years ago

Re: City v Milan - Audi Cup

For City Navas, Aguero, Zabaleta, Jovetic, Negredo and Silva started training about a week ago as well.

There's bound to be two teams with the format of the competition so it's very hard if not impossible to predict who plays on Day 1 and who plays on Day 2

I'll just name what I think is our strongest squad at the moment given the injury to Nastasic

---------------Hart
Richards--Kompany--Garcia--Clichy
------------Fernandinho
---------Yaya-----Silva
---Navas-----Negredo----Dzeko

Re: City v Milan - Audi Cup

Milan will be our biggest test yet, but with all due respect to Milan I desperately want us to win to have the likely game against the real big test: Bayern.

If we can beat both Milan and Bayern it would be a mega confidence boost going into the next CL campaign, and I suppose it will give us a boost going into the new PL season.

-----Negredo-Dzeko-----
Silva---------------Navas
----Yaya-Fernandinho---
Clichy-Lescott--VK-Zabba
-------------Hart---------

Sergio and Jovetic versus Bayern or São Paulo.

Will be great to see Mario and Nigel again.
