2 phonecalls to Sky and a 23 minute wait to BT. Sky say it's no longer their platform and to contact BT. BT say it's not their platform until tomorrow and until then it's Sky's.
So basically no **** knows anything about any ****, and in the meantime ESPN is a channel nobody seems able to provide on a day when there's a football match on.

I can see a 'falling down' moment coming on.

Ah well at the end of May I got an email from sky inviting me to unsubscribe to ESPN in readiness for BT, which I did. My ESPN hasn't been active since 30/6, a month after I cancelled. Now there's no way of getting it back either, it's as if it doesn't exist until tomorrow, unless you already had it. To broadcast a pre season tournament on a channel many have been invited to cancel is fucking stupid, and what with my phone conking out this morning, it pissing down with rain and my ex being a complete twat to one of my kids, I may well just go fucking mental. Slag.

BT will be taking over from 1/8/13 the match tonight will be broadcast as normal through Sky on espn 417 , This channel is broadcasting now. BT will be broadcasting ESPN on this channels tomorrow.

BT will be taking over from 1/8/13 the match tonight will be broadcast as normal through Sky on espn 417 , This channel is broadcasting now. BT will be broadcasting ESPN on this channels tomorrow.

I know, but if you've took up the invitation to unsubscribe like I any many others did in May, it is no longer available and the 2 companies who are swapping the broadcast rights seem unable to offer it today.

Today is Sky's last day broadcasting ESPN. After that you need to be signed up to BT Sport to continue viewing it on your Sky Box.

That means that if you still have your Sky subscription to ESPN then you'll be able to view the game. If you cancelled it, like me, then you won't be able to view it as BT don't switch on ESPN viewing until tomorrow. Only those who originally had it with Sky and haven't cancelled it will be able to view it.

That's the reason Sky can't add ESPN any more...as it would just be for today and the minimum term for new channels is 30 days.

I guess it'll have to be Sopcast or some other stream tonight....

I just kept mine active and letting it run out,
I have activated my BT on Sky box so it just should switch over .

Minimum term for a new channel on Sky is 30 days I think...this is why they won't add it any more. Really not worth their time and effort adding a channel that you will lose tomorrow and Sky will only be able to charge about 50p (pro-rata viewing).

Sky just switched ESPN on for me for the day f.o.c. - standard answer is that they can't do it but push them a bit harder.

Someone posted yesterday that he called Sky and got 2 days for 67p.
