I've managed to get a 4 star hotel for £100 for 3 nights, near the main train station but there were hostels going dirt cheap when I last looked the other week.

That sounds like a good deal - further information will be appreciated especially with flights, as they seem to be quiet expensive...

Maybe 5 years ago when friendlies were the nearest we got to Europe. Now we are in the CL most will wait for the real thing.

There will be a lot more AC Milan fans than ManCity fans I think. There is a lot italians in the Munich area and Milan - Munich is a five hour trip.

Not worth the hassle by the time you add everything up. Looks like a 200 quid job plus digs plus spends :(
