Just seen that Community Shield tickets have gone to General Sale.
Unbelievable...we've just had our most successful season in 44 years and we can't even muster the support to fill what is a far smaller allocation than we had this time last season at Wembley.

So if you're going...great, I'll see you there. If you know mates that aren't going...pressure them to go. The shitstorm we'll get on TV will be embarrassing if there's pockets of empty seats dotted around.

Come on Blues...let's fill Villa Park and welcome the Premiership Champions.
 
I would be going if I could afford it. Having just shelled out £630 for my season card, I looked into how much it would cost me to go to the Community Shield.

Travel from Edinburgh £90
Overnight stay £80
Match ticket £45
Food and beer money £85
Total = £300

I couldn't justify spending almost half the cost of my season ticket on a what is really a pre season friendly especially when I have more costs coming up for the Champions League games. The line has to be drawn somewhere.

Some Premier League away games where we get just 2500-3000 tickets go on general sale, sometimes we don't sell out. I don't ever see threads like this then and those games are infinitely more important than this one.
