Just seen that Community Shield tickets have gone to General Sale.
Unbelievable...we've just had our most successful season in 44 years and we can't even muster the support to fill what is a far smaller allocation than we had this time last season at Wembley.

So if you're going...great, I'll see you there. If you know mates that aren't going...pressure them to go. The shitstorm we'll get on TV will be embarrassing if there's pockets of empty seats dotted around.

Come on Blues...let's fill Villa Park and welcome the Premiership Champions.

they have only just gone on open sale, they have around 150 tickets left (only highest priced) which i am pretty sure will sell out in the next couple of days, (perhaps when jo-public realise they can buy tickets and figure out how) So not sure why the drama.. (blues have holidays aswell)

if they want to charge the kids £37.50 then theres no way i will pay that for a 12 year old !! thats 7 league games at the etihad for him. so £122.50 for me and the kids thats why we arent going

We will have more fans there than Chelsea (who've just won the Champions League). City fans should stop worrying about what people say about our attendances.

In answer to the OP; if you fancy susidising my flight over and accommodation costs, I'll answer your rallying call. Hell, I'll even pay for my own match ticket. I can't say fairer than that.

Apart from United fans in their songs, in the pub and in the media, nobody else ever says anything about our attendances.

I don't think we sold out at Everton last season, there were no threads calling people out to get to the game and nobody anywhere commented on it.

Its nothing to do with what others think! Its about showing support for the champions of England! Yes the cost is expensive and yes most loyal blues have enough to shell out over the season, but don't for minute think this game is not important. I would hate to think we are getting apathetic about ANY chance of seeing us win a trophy no matter how trivial it may be. Lets not forget how much just a few short years ago we would only dream of playing in the community shield. So to the OP I back your rallying cries " Come on blues, lets support our champions on August 12th". If you can afford it!!!!
