What, one match in April means that you need to spend 70m on a backup CDM? sorry, absolutely not buying this. a 20m midfielder does a job yesterday. Somehow liverpool can find a decent CB for 30 and excellent attackers for 30-40 all the time, we can do that too.

Wouldnt be a back up atall. Many games need 2 strong centre mids who have legs to cope with it

I agree. If your not willing to risk further injuries to 1st teamers. Delap for Sterling and Lavia for Ferna would have been a great opportunity to give them minutes

Dinho, but not close to starting games at PL level at least a couple of seasons away starting somewhere at a higher level before he's in rotation for the first team.

Delap isn’t suited to our current system. We’ll see more of him next year when our side allows for a brutish #9.

We need to replace one of our iconic players like Vinny and Serge. A cheap option dont work. We need someone big to push Rodders anyway. All day long we spend what we need to it one of most important positions there is. Lavia will hopefully be part of it too

We won't see him at all next year once the club sign 2 strikers in the summer (Alvarez + 1 other). The fact that Delap and McAtee can't get minutes in matches that Pep is happy to toss off is really frustrating.
