well having read about Pelle contact talks stalling it looks like the Saints have sorted out their Plan B early - puts pressure on Pelle to sign or fuck off I suppose.

As for Austin - bit of a big fish in a small pond syndrome and isn't he a bit injury prone? At £4m QPR have fucked up there too- they were offered £10m in the summer and turned it down !!

Maybe we should look at Pelle then. If he was willing to come and be a back-up, he'd be a great alternative to throw on late in the game if we needed a change of plan.

He probably would have turned them down. I read that he was due a big payoff from QPR if he saw out his contract.

Yes, he would've been a free agent in the Summer. QPR basically had a couple of weeks to get something for him or lose him for nothing.
