Australia & Novak Djokovic case

That’s simply not true.
Although there is a correlation between serious Covid illness and being overweight, nowhere near 80% of Covid deaths are amongst the obese (BMI over 30). According to a study in the Lancet, it’s more like 30% who are obese and another 30% who are slightly overweight.
On the other hand well over 90% of those with serious illness or who die from it are unvaxxed so there’s really no comparison between the two groups.
A vaxxed fatty is much more likely to have a better outcome than an unvaxxed thin person if they both catch it.
Yes, there is some validity to both the overweight and the unvaccinated correlations. It shouldn’t be an either/or situation, but lines get drawn don’t they.

According to my wife (nurse) if you're obese and you end up on a ventilator in ICU, its much worse as your physical weight is pressing on your organs, especially lungs, making breathing even harder....so the outcome for obese people in that situation is trickier than for slim people.

Yes but if you’re vaxxed you’re much less likely to be there in the first place.

Yeah, makes sense that bud. Thanks for the insight - and all the best to your wife and her colleagues for their good work.

this was deaths from November 15th to December 12th last year as per government website

where is it you are seeing well over 90% of those dying are unvaxed ?

I'm not alone in being deeply uncomfortable with the direction you people are attempting to take us. It won't work in this country because there are enough sane people willing to stand up against the infringement of basic human rights that you people are calling for, but it is happening elsewhere and it's not going to end well.
Us ? You people ?

I dont see protecting the hospitals and health of the nation as an infringement of anything.

I'd like to send you to live in a third world country where people are crying out for vaccine's, but guess what, there are none. You dont realise how lucky you are to live in a rich western nation that has things like vaccinations. It would do some mard arses good to be moved to somewhere like PNG to see how those people would mind if their human rights were infringed by free vaccinations.

Pathetic.
