Away end tonight

We used to give the rags loads of dogs abuse for the tourist fans. Maybe it's the price of being a top club? I've been following City since early 80s and we've always had fans from around the UK but they were always 100% City because why would you support a club miles away from where you are from that gets relegated and doesn't win anything?? It's called love & loyalty, but these people coming now just because we are top of the league? That's not love and loyalty it's glory hunting there's a massive difference. And I fookin hate half and half scarves!!! Ok maybe for a champs league but a derby????

Im a regular "awayer" but didn't bother with yesterday. Infact I cant be bothered with most London aways bar Fulham. Shit, expensive and full of mongs.

At least it gives people the chance to catch me up points wise

I am gutted the image of our support is suffering due to proper fans being priced out who can't afford a lot of the games now and a load of day trippers getting hold of tickets and ruining the atmosphere. This time last year I didn't think our support would change, boy how wrong was I and this is only the beginning!

wtf?

Talking to a Belgian couple in the little bar area outside the turnstiles before the game, they were only interested because Kompany was playing but had paid €500 for their tickets online

Yes there were lots of "tourists" in our end yesterday, as there tend to be with the high-priced London games but my thinking is that if the regular away dayers wanted tickets for the game, they'd have got them. For these "tourists" to get tickets, they either have to go on open sale, or be put on third party ticketing sites by season ticket holders who have bought them. Therefore, if the tickets weren't bought by tourists, they probably wouldn't have been bought at all. In that respect, I have no problem with the "tourists". Ideally what I'd like to see is all the "proper" away dayers put together, and all the tourists put together, so the regulars can get the atmosphere going. However, I don't think there's a realistic way of managing the logistics of that.

The main problem is the prices. If tickets were capped at £20 or £30 then there'd be far more regulars at these games and we wouldn't have the "tourist" problem. At the moment I have a reasonable amount of disposable income to spend on City, I have no kids or other dependants, but appreciate that it's not the same for a lot of our core support. The authorities really need to do something but unfortunately, as with a lot of things in modern Britain, all they see is £££££££££££££££.

Its the same every year at arsenal. Full of non English that simply Dont know our songs. They go to that match only. As I say that's what expensive tickets bring. Had these been half price it would have been full of blues, maybe enough to inspire the win ???

It went to BlueMembers and Sold Out in 40minutes. It was one of those 'couldn't be arsed' to pay £62.... for many Season Ticket holders, then when they realised it was such a Big Game, they were scrambling around for Tickets after it Sold Out... As for BlueMembers not being 'as big fans' as Season Ticket holders - well that's just bollocks....
