Away fans in home end again

We had a problem last season in the FS of pockets of seats allocated to groups who weren't showing up. t least I think that was the reason for the little gaps? That has largely been solved.

We sit in separate blocks. I'm in 105. I never seen any away fans apart from the odd CL game (in previous seasons). For Cup games I see a lot of new faces because City seasoncard holders often don't go. I see that as a plus. A small number in a crwod of 55k maybe given to agencies but that's not the case at the front of 109 because I see those on sale regularly on the web-site

I know that the front of 109 is not seasoncards so you will get different fans there every week. What do you want City to do about it? Make more seats seasoncard only? There's too many as it is imo.

If I had a row of away fans in front of me game after game I'd be annoyed. I just don't see it where I am sat. I've also moved around various parts of the ground and I've never seen it, and never had cause to grumble about City fans other than the odd incident at away games (now I think about it).
It’s not fans not showing up. It’s City having chunks of tickets that they dish out to all and sundry. Ticket tout agencies, tour operators, sponsors, the governing bodies... its City that are the core root and fault of all this, not seasoncard holders who don’t come. That’s just some made up bollocks to delude ourselves that the club we support aren’t a bunch of ****s who not only don’t give a shit about us, but actively do not like us nor want us to be there!

Is it just me that thinks there should be a way to accommodate everyone? I mean how difficult is it to have a section for city fans only, those that want to sing, those that want to analyse the game quietly, those that want corporate, those that want to be close to the away fans, those that may even want to sit with away fans (neutral section)...

Surely it’s possible to please everyone? We just need it to be better organised and also fans to move seats if required (I’ve never understood the obsession some fans have with “their” seat)
A section? It’s our fucking stadium! Everyone else can fuck off!

Well if city fans were buying the tickets it wouldn’t be an issue would it. I’m guessing this only occurs when it goes to general sale. If there was a section of 300 seats which were mixed is that really an issue! Just don’t sit there

So you’d be alright with this then ?? Liverpool fans actively celebrating goals in a so called neutral end

I personally wouldn’t be keen but if there was demand for it then I’d have to accept it.

I think everyone who voted Brexit is a cock and it’s a fucking disaster but I accept I’m in the minority.

You’ll never please everyone

No, it occurs because City do not sell all the tickets to City fans. They hold loads away from being bought by City fans and dish them out to all sorts of ****y money milking fuckers.

We didn’t need to do this when we got 44000 regularly when we were an average Prem team so we shouldn’t need to fucking do it now we only have 55000 to fill.

I’m not swearing at you by the way I’m just fucking fed up to fuck of our stadium being a place I do not feel comfortable fucking going to anymore! The stadium and the support we have these days is a fucking desperate joke! And that’s not our fans fault, it’s the club’s and the club’s only.

Well if the number threatening not to renew because of VAR actually mean it then we'll need around 20,000 new ST holders next season to sell out.
As for the general tourist stuff; we are stuck with it as we cosy up to match package providers. I suppose we could inform these package touts that tickets for future games will be restricted if they sell to away fans, but I doubt we have the balls to do that.
The thing with kids is another matter. As a club we can inform schools that the tickets are in the home section and anybody supporting the away side will be ejected. And the entire group will be turfed out if necessary. This is particularly important if the school is from outside Manchester as it is more likely to have a higher number of rags and dippers.

They’ll renew. You know they will. I vowed never again after the 3-0 defeat v Forest in the FA Cup but was still up for the next home match. It took an unexpected move to London to see me cancel the Seasoncard two months in and I’ve fallen out of the habit of going.

Whilst cancellation rates may be a slightly higher percentage than last time due to the horrendous VAR situation, I think they’ll still go. It’d take the PR disaster of the universe to see thousands of Seasoncards unsold. Clubs have employed footballers who did time for manslaughter.

CITC tickets given to schools, foreign school trips etc - even if given away to locals they are often not city fans.

There isn’t demand for it though, surely you can see that by the amount of people getting kicked out or the amount of fights/near fights.

We aren’t Fulham. It’s our stadium and away fans shouldn’t be celebrating in our home end.

Like Psychedelic Casual I to am beginning not to feel safe with the influx of away fans to all parts of the ground. Thing is the away fans have nothing to lose if it kicks off, but us we could be stopped from buying tickets in the future.
At the Port Vale match we had 8 sitting to my right starting next to me, 6 sitting in front of us and about 15 a few rows in front of us. They were making no secret of not being City fans. One City fan turn round and told them to f**k off which started a row. These 20yr olds getting in his face, my lad pulled one away than I got involved teller them to shut the f**k up. I felt very uncomfortable the whole match I was on edge waiting for it to kick off big time. I am to old for all this shit nowadays. I just want to go to City sit with Citys fans not much to ask for in our stadium. To be honest I am not looking for to the utd game on the 29th going by how easy it is for away fans to get amongst us.
