Away fans in home end again

Only time I’ve been in away end and cheered was Villa Park under under Alan Ball and needed to win to stay up, 2nd to last game I think before Liverpool ( keep it in the corner ) game
I was about 18 with my mates and stupid
I was in the Villa end that day. Lived in Birmingham at the time and managed to get 10 tickets for my mates cos I had a Birmingham address. Loads of Blues in the stand at the side that day and we all went wild when we scored.

Sat in stand at Leeds and Bradford many years ago just chatting with the fans around me who were all sound. Sat in home section at the Swamp a few times but went with Rag fans so was no mither

I sat in the so called family stand with a mate for the Millwall game when our fans were banned. In those days I had bluemoon as a ringtone and realised just in time to silence it before any calls came in. When SWP scored we both turned to each other and said quietly 'Thats his first goal'

Went to Brighton last season joined their ticket scheme in August just to get a ticket for the City game, selected a very good seat right next to our away section. Wore the St Marks Shirt, oblivious to the home fans but many blues in there that day came up for a chat.

Leeds away 1987ish. With a Leeds fan. They're nuts I tell ya. Lost 2-0.

Villa away, the 5-1 David White show. We lost ourselves as our 5yh went in and got some hassle. Rightly so.

Coventry many times. Loads of Blues always there too, so never an issue.

I went to the City Ground a few years ago and was in with the Forest supporters, I was lucky had nothing to cheer about. I did say to a forest supporter that I thought that if Stan Collymore left they would be religated, that is the only prediction I have ever got right

My company had an office in Hamburg, so oblivious of what was to follow, I joined their supporters club in 2005, and even attended a couple of their Europa League games over the next few seasons.

Having also attended every City European fixture in 08/09, there was a distinct possibility of City being paired with Hamburg in the Quarter Final, and me being eligible for a ticket in both the home and way sections.

The rest is history, so on the day in question, I sold my City ticket to a mate, and found myself in the Hamburg end, coincidentally adjacent to the away fans segregation fence.

When Hamburg equalized a City fan shouted to me:

"WHY AREN'T YOU SMILING, YOU NAZI BASTARD?

Wrong on so many levels. and if I'm totally honest, it still pisses me off.
