Away tickets price cap next 3 seasons

This is good news. I always thought £20 was too optimistic but £30 isn't bad at all. Interesting thing is that if an away club don't take their full allocation and there is a tier empty, City will presumably sell the seats to home fans at the higher price.

How far is it then?

Too far for me :-)

I remember when I was 18, living in London and clueless about distance. We used to take a fair few away from London and I was in the SC then ( I remember someone called Tina was involved in it if anyone knows her).

I decided a couple of days before to go to Plymouth on the train, thinking it was an hour away. 3.5 hrs later we finally got there. 2-0 up at HT and lost 3-2!! Two lads I knew from a London decided to drive and got there at HT!

Not sure what relevance this little story has but thought I would tell it anyway!

Please allow my cynical streak to enter the discussion, but if clubs aren't allowed to fleece visiting supporters any more then is a reduction in away seating something that certain clubs will find excuses for? If those same seats are sold to Far Eastern visitors who are then shepherded towards the megastore before and after the game and prior to their flights back home, then won't those participating clubs consider this as a more viable use of match day rather than having to go through the chore of paying for stewards and police officers?

Off topic but funny.
Have got to a few places too ealry but never too late, except when the club's free fucking bus to Palace arrived late

Wonder what the unintended consequence will be here. Will most clubs feel that they now have carte blanche to charge 30 pounds regardless of the opposition (thereby reducing the hit when they would have made more money when big teams visit), or will they still have lower prices for lesser opposition?

This is fantastic news. The Premier League offer a fantastic product and they deserve credit here. Scudamore and co done a good job.

The game is really health in England (financially and structurally). You go to Spain or any foreign country and do away fans travel? do they feck ! this is protecting that tradition.

Too many negative stories around football at the minute, it is good to see something positive.

Germany has massive away followings, you often see 10K+ away fans at games.
