Away tickets price cap next 3 seasons

ok so the club are selling points. its all about the money, money that lets us buy aguero etc, money that they charge for pies and so on. I don't anything I can avoid in the stadium so it frees up 50 quid for platinum. its all about choices.
if you believe that this money has anything to do with buying players like Aguero you are very mistaken gate receipts hardly cover wages.

Exactly
Last four games all with empty seats, where are all these people desperate to get to games at the moment
They're desperate to get to the 'big' games but would rather sit in front of the telly for the others

A ballot only benefits the ones who rarely can be arsed to go to an away game

Add Norwich in the cup & Sunderland in league cup.
Also games earlier in the year went to open sale or V low points - Palace, Villa, Everton semi final.

I'd also hazard a guess that Soton, Swansea & Chelsea will struggle to sell out if we don't look like challenging for the league.

I do agree that we have an aged away following for many games, but I don't see evidence that masses of younger fans are being blocked from attending (at the moment).

It is surprising how many points whores do not seem to be aware of the old ways how you had to qualify for away and cup tickets. I don't see any mention of the little vouchers in the season ticket books and queuing at Maine Road on alternate Saturdays mornings, let alone coupons in home programmes or the front page of away tickets.
In this modern age, you'd seriously support the old way over the current way ? You'd actually support people queuing for hours with vouchers, and front pages of programmes from away games ?

I've not lived in or around Manchester since 1981, yet I manage to get enough away tickets to satisfy me every season, and I'm now what would be described as on 'middle points', being around the 11000 mark. I'm much more in favour of cheaper away tickets, as we still won't sell out some games, so if you want to go you can, and the biggest complaint about the current system is for a minority of games like Bournemouth, or united, where it sells out early, but there are as many (if not more) that go to open sale, so choose your games. I work shifts and that includes weekends, so I have to pick and choose when I can get to away games, as I try to attend most home games too, and making away tickets cheaper is a start, even if it means I'm less likely to get an away ticket.

Just seen this on the news as i go in. Rag bias BBC cant help themselves though and reported this outside the Etihad and mentioned only the cost of our away tickets
As Media City is just a short distance from the swamp and therefore more in keeping with the need to keep the cash starved BBC to it's budget, then I too thought of this same bias as you did.

Yep, rows and rows of empty seats at Sipunderland in the Cup, and the others went to open sale as you say. Although I thought the SC always took up the slack when there was a low take up from independent fans

A ballot will lead to more empty away ends once the novelty has worn off for these new fans. The ones with their nose put out of joint will find batter things to do with their money and the team will suffer.

don't say that, I'm looking forward to looking down my nose at them.

Well we've already had the ex rag initiative of picking up tickets at the game, although we diasagree on that one, and now another rag initiative on ballots. The bald weasley **** organising this had better watch his back.
