Away tickets price cap next 3 seasons

Is this rush for tickets really happening or is it just a forum talking point?

I'm not sure why Bournemouth is so appealing anyway. It's fucking miles away.

This news is good though for those that do travel regularly to aways. After years of loyalty, it is well deserved. Should see some bigger turnouts at our place too and add to the atmosphere.

this made me smile :)

In this modern age, you'd seriously support the old way over the current way ? You'd actually support people queuing for hours with vouchers, and front pages of programmes from away games ?

I've not lived in or around Manchester since 1981, yet I manage to get enough away tickets to satisfy me every season, and I'm now what would be described as on 'middle points', being around the 11000 mark. I'm much more in favour of cheaper away tickets, as we still won't sell out some games, so if you want to go you can, and the biggest complaint about the current system is for a minority of games like Bournemouth, or united, where it sells out early, but there are as many (if not more) that go to open sale, so choose your games. I work shifts and that includes weekends, so I have to pick and choose when I can get to away games, as I try to attend most home games too, and making away tickets cheaper is a start, even if it means I'm less likely to get an away ticket.

I'm in the same boat as you Cleavers, work some weekends and also have family commitments for others, so I have to pick and choose the games I can attend or get tickets for, I certainly welcome the away cap. I also realise and appreciate there's going to be games I won't get tickets for because those that deserve them, the hardcore regulars will snap them up and it's the way it should be, ballots are not the way forward.

Just for the record for those saying Bill and Squirty look down there nose at others about the points situation, you couldn't be further from the truth, I know for a fact they've helped out plenty of Blues with tickets for games. Even if they didn't, they've put in the mileage and money so deserve to reap the rewards for their loyalty.

there was a thread recently saying City were one of 6 clubs to veto this or something, has everyone now agreed?

The FSF were campaigning for the cap to be at £20.00 I think this is why most clubs opposed it, I would imagine the £30.00 was some sort of compromise although I can't say for definite as I've not had my FSF email yet.
