Away tickets

I smell bullshit.

Celtic was bad but Paris was worse. Hotel out in the sticks.

Madrid was a mess. No real organisation. I know someone who got a ticket which was under his brothers name but he used his own passport.

I have had this argument before and reluctant to start it again but Paris and Madrid were not a problem. Celtic should have been handled differently.

Couldn't the problem of away tickets be solved relatively easily while basically keeping the same system.

The biggest issue is that younger people cannot catch up, or are miles behind

Anybody over 18 at the start of the system carries on as they are, working on the higher criteria, and this would account for the bulk of the allocation

Simply introduce a different criteria for say people who were under 18 in 2009, and and again in 2015, basically make applying age relative, the club would have the data, and could easily pro rata the numbers. The club have access to the age and number of fans they could make the allocations accordingly

The problem was how city run the ticket collection not the idea itself, have to say Paris and Madrid took me no longer than 15 mins. Already had my tickets for Celtic so didn’t need to collect for that but heard there were problems. The idea should not have been thrown out of the window, city should of sent more staff and found better locations to do it.

I not wanting to argue either.

I found Paris a pain in the arse.

Madrid was just Madrid.

I found Madrid and paris massive inconveniences - Celtic was a shambles!
If city introduce this again, well they better get a better system in place - photos on tickets??? collect at the away ground? proof of travel before city send your ticket??

We had a great system in place once for European Away tickets where you collected the ticket near the ground or in the City we were playing in. All worked fine until Celtic which was long waiting. However this got dropped after a backlash from a lot of supporters and even some mods on here who I am not saying had an agenda but didn't like that option because it was apparently wasting time. The truth behind it was that it stopped touting of tickets and made the points system work the way it was supposed to.

At the moment those that do the aways and know they can get a ticket book the transport be it UK or Europe in advance to save money. If this goes in a ballot it will make all away days more expensive because you wont be able to book transport till a ticket is confirmed.

Sometimes the grass isn't always greener on the otherside
And yet another who thinks it’s fine to dictate to others what they do in their time and, more importantly, with their own money because they are so paranoid about tickets, no hypocrisy and no selfishness there though, that’s something you can sling at others.

i’d love the introduction of a collection system at every ground, not just the European games.....if I already had my tickets in my hand.

the idea was there but it was very badly implemented. it most certainly stopped whores and so let the points drop to the rightful levels.

your point about the mods giving a fuck either way was total bollocks. what possible agenda could they have against the right blues getting the right tickets.

Madrid. you had to go all the way out to the Stadium then back into Town.
Paris the queues were bad, we had to go off and have a beer in a place we wouldn't normally have done to let it go down a bit
instead of being in one of the nicer parts of the City.
I'm not against the idea they just need to have in in a Central location.

I don't think anyone is against the younger fans having a go at a ticket but but two things.
If the tickets come from across the board, SC's /Corporates /Sponsers fair enough but it's a bet they would come from the points holders pot which is being thinned as it is.
Secondly if an 18 year old gets a ticket in a ballot and his mates don't is he going to go or pass it on.
