Away tickets

And yet another who thinks it’s fine to dictate to others what they do in their time and, more importantly, with their own money because they are so paranoid about tickets, no hypocrisy and no selfishness there though, that’s something you can sling at others.

We have had this 'discussion' before and having travelled to places like Shaktar this season I was hoping to go to Spurs. Now I don't mind it selling out at 16,000+ and therefore missing out or I wouldn't mind if the tickets didn't start appearing on this forum in the next few days where people are ill or having to work or any other reason. There is a reason why the Mods lock a ticket request thread until after it has sold out and I accept there is little point in banning the sale altogether when facebook sites sell them but it makes me yearn for Madrid.

I don't think anyone is against the younger fans having a go at a ticket but but two things.
If the tickets come from across the board, SC's /Corporates /Sponsers fair enough but it's a bet they would come from the points holders pot which is being thinned as it is.
Secondly if an 18 year old gets a ticket in a ballot and his mates don't is he going to go or pass it on.

If there is a ballot people who never go away will apply for every ballot with no intention of going and sell on if it isn't a big enough game. It will lead to more touting.

Wonder how many points Tottenham would have sold out at in a system where 100% of the 3003 tickets we got were sold to qualifying points holders?

I guess 15.5k

The £60, lack of trains and being midweek would put some off

Well we know that at least 1,800 ( 60% of 3,003) have over 17,500 points, would be good if the Club were more transparent on this, even if it were just 1,000 have over 22k, next 1,000 over 18k etc; that way we'd know where we stand and a better likelihood of whether getting tickets or not!

And knowing if it had been worth buying platinum or not

Well less than a day after the club officially sold out 2 have been sold on here. 13.000 would have got you a ticket under the system where you produce ID to get your ticket on the day.

It would also have got you a ticket via the loyalty system if all 3000 tickets were sold through that system instead of 1200 being syphoned off
And you wouldn't have needed any ID

When visiting clubs come to us we have to give them seats in the CB stand as part of some stupid UEFA regulation. Why do we never appear to have this reciprocated. I won’t be happy if I have to sit next to a block full of Spurs fans in the second leg if we haven’t received similar seats for the first leg
