Away tickets

Still the biggest issue that needs addressing is why complete random, non City fans are getting tickets for huge games that sell out at high points. Spurs away the other night was laughable, scores of people who clearly have done no hard yards in the away end with no connection to City, just happy to be at a big European night, walking up and down the aisles, watching the game through their phones, and taking selfie after selfie, it's pathetic. These non deserving parasites completely dilute the atmosphere, and are denying proper City supporters their rightful place in the queue for tickets, yet they seem exempt from scrutiny, why is this?
It will not be long before one of these 'parasites' really pisses someone off at a game and gets planted.

I'm a neutral in this debate as I'm not overly interested in away games as I'm 64, still working and driving all over visiting customers. That said I know plenty of hardcore away supporters who go week in, week out. The good thing City Matters has done is to bring into the open that only 60% of away tickets go to LOYALTY points holders. This is a fucking disgrace. I have no problem whatsoever with people who have travelled away lots more time than me getting tickets. What I do have a problem with is Platinum (buying points), corporate and people in supporters clubs getting tickets before LOYALTY points holders.

It is more like 33% for united away and bournemouth away, and probably closer to 90% for city away at swansea in the cup.

When every under 11s coach, womens team, and players friends and family get their share, there is a lot less to be split - and they all come out for united away.

Don’t blame the tourists, blame the club.

Only a matter of time before ones gets a clip round the ear and it will be the clubs fault.

I was stood in front of one at Anfield and he got his camera out every time Liverpool attacked he wasn’t arsed about us. He probably didn’t even realise he bought the ticket in the away end. It will just be through a agent or corporate who the club release tickets to.
And i wonder why the away support has died on its arse in last few years, we used to have the best away following by a million miles.

None of these figures possibly stack up
There was no platinum no cup scheme in them days 190 for a season ticket and 10 points per game
Eg when we played Shalke in 2008 it remember getting a ticket easily on 4000 points

He's a liar mate. Not worth engaging with

True colours have come out multiple times on this thread. He knows what's happening but as with most who remain on that committee, in it for himself. If he had any principles, he'd have walked with the others

Fully agree with the sentiment, but to add balance, it isn't those "parasites" you should be aiming your anger at, they've no doubt paid a fortune for those tickets, five times at least for the Spurs game

It's the original holder of that ticket who needs outing. They're the ones making huge markups!

I've got stubs bought this way from games back in 2014 during that run-in. PB isn't interested in them as he won't upset the applecart

I dont blame the tourists, and they don't deserve abuse, my sympathy lies with the city fan who has earnt loyalty points watching the lesser games, and then when a big game comes along, he/she is overlooked because the tickets end up in the wrong hands. The loyalty point system, works, and supporters club work, selling tickets to randoms for inflated prices is the biggest issue bar none, yet gets no scrutiny whatsoever. Spurs away in the champions league last 8, the away end should be full of passionate City fans urging and helping the team along, not gawping at your phone taking selfies, and not caring if City win or lose.

I’m glad more people are trying to cotton onto and make issue of this more. Well said!

That’s why a couple of us highlighted touting on a thread a couple of weeks ago that the Mods kindly dealt with.

If you have your stubs and you paid over the odds then send your stubs to City.

I've bought dozens of tickets from a source in the club when I've not been able to get through my own points. I've paid more than face value each and every time. I wouldn't dream of handing over the stubs. For two reasons:
it would kill one route for tickets
it's a c*nts trick - if you don't want to pay over the odds, don't buy.
