Away tickets

I don't disagree but what would your rolling system entail?

Suppose the last 5 full seasons were all that counted. The people at the front of the queue now would still be at the front, thereby respecting the meritocratic element of the system. The maximum would probably be 11,000 points. Younger fans would have an attainable target to aim at by going to as many away games as they qualify for. Being 11K points behind is not as daunting as being 25K points behind and they definitely would have a chance to catch up over a period of 2/3 years.

That's the gist of it. I realize it would disadvantage many high pointers (including myself) but I'd like to think that it solves the problem of 'never being able to catch up because I'm only 20', which I think is the main drawback of the current system.

Probably lots of problems I haven't foreseen. One potential problem is that the 'spread' may be a little odd, i.e. the 11K group would be a little congested.

I'd be interested to know what people on here think of such a scheme. Is it worth exploring or are people implacably opposed to it? (Probably academic now but may be worth discussing).

How much to join Superbia? Takes out the hassle and you have a dedicated phone option when you ring in, I assume to get a couple more for your friends and family.

i would use the "brexit" rollover system. you have a ballot and if it produces a ticket for a longstanding fan with 20k points you put it back and choose again .this carries on untill a ticket comes out for a mard arse jcl who have been a fan since 2008 and put fuck all miles in when we were shit.

seems fair.

It'd probably be a lot better than the current one although I'm sure you'd still get points whores and a few other associated problems etc.

I'd prefer it to be a ballot whereby if you've got 25k thousand points, you get 25 tickets in any away game ballot you enter. If you've got 1k points, you get 1 ticket. Chances are, those who benefit under the existing system would go to most of the games like they do now but it gives a better chance for our younger fans to go too.
