Away tickets

We're going round in circles on this now.

Are we going to be docked for not attending league games at the Etihad?

(Which was my original question to @True_Blue69 suggestion).
Judging by what was said a couple of months ago by people on here

I’m sure the way city are sending out their information we won’t know for sure until the day before the spurs game

You are in the minority and that's because these changes are shockingly bad; they label our core away support as 'points whores' and actually punish the people who have been following City away for a number of years. It's a real kick in the bollocks to our away supporters and does nothing to address the much more serious issue of how blocks of tickets appear on agency web sites for sale. These tickets come from the club who are happy to take the profit while they address the imaginary bogeyman of the 'points whores'.

More youthful presence at away games? Interesting to see how that works out. I'm pretty sure it wasn't people of my age taunting Leicester fans about a recent helicopter crash, or were kicking off outside St James' park last season, or...
Is that one of the reasons, so instead of buying at face value off facebook and here, the club and ticketing agency are forcing you to use there inflated sites.

So now the 'mystery' is solved. You only went to 3-5 away games 6 years ago. There's nothing wrong with the system it just doesn't work for you because you weren't prepared to put in the effort.

I did increase my away attendance, about 10 years ago actually, I got the taste for it again. Glory hunter obviously (and irrelevantly).

The point is the system worked. I put in the effort you didn't. You fell back, I moved forward. Nothing complicated about it. You and I chose different approaches. No right or wrong here just a different set of choices.

That's not 'mystery solved' mate. If one person increases their attendance and everyone else stayed the same then I'd still be getting a ticket. That's simple Maths.

Putting your pedantic "I put in the effort" nonsense to aside - genuinely don't know why you're getting all narky about this when I'm asking a genuine question - are you suggesting that lots and lost of people have decided to attend every single away game they can over the last ten years? If so then I have zero problem with me not being able to get a ticket any more. However I'd be AMAZED if this was the truth. Like other posters have suggested it's more likely to do with more corporate and sponsorship tickets being available!

And for the record I wasn't calling you a glory fan FFS so keep your knickers on.

Well it was evident from the outset that the people making the decisions are not part of the core away support and don’t understand what it entails.

Makes me laugh when I read people posting ‘if you are against collection, you must be a points whore’.

Well dickhead, not you Maccblue, I’m against collection because it’s my fucking life and not yours!
No offence taken :)
So it’s a 5 1/2 hour train journey to Bournemouth for us that includes an 1 1/2 hour trip on a replacement bus from Macclesfield to Stafford going there and coming back as the trains are to cock!!! possibly tickets to be collected upon arrival (high chance considering the low allocation)

And they’ve stopped rewarding loyalty!!!

It’s bank holiday weekend too, is it really worth it ! I’ll still be their so no one will benefit down the pecking order at my expense and so will my son
Despite this madcap idea that will be changed into a raffle eventually

Return train to Bournemouth showing £105. Gets in 30 minutes before KO. Taxi to the ground? National Express goes via London. Leaves Manchester about 1am arriving Bournemouth 11:30. Returns at around 18:00 getting back into Manchester 4am. Total of 27 hours. one of the biggest incentives to go through all that was to keep your points up, then you may still have to piss about picking your ticket up at the Stadium. City Matters Committee.....WHAT ON EARTH HAVE YOU CREATED? Empty seats at away grounds???

If it’s true that the 18-25 allocation has come from the ‘loyalty points’ alllocation then we have been shafted.

Over the last ten years that group have gone from 80% of the away tickets to 55% of the allocation. Hence why, @bugsyblue, it may be more difficult to get tickets on your points.

Platinum Seasoncard holders will continue to receive double points, equating to a total of 490 additional points when compared to Gold Seasoncard holders across the 19 home Premier League matches and the three Cup Schemes (UEFA, FA Cup and League Cup). Double points will also be assigned for tickets purchased to home Cup matches.

Am I tired?
How do they make it up to 490 points with 19 games and points for joining cup schemes

There was a point a few years ago when I got tickets for OT Anfield etc no problem. Think I was 3rd on the ticket criteria when they went on sale. Following season not a chance. My ticket points didn’t even get me on the list for selling criteria. There was no way the people below could have gained the points to overtake me even by going to every single game. Could be wrong but I think it was when the 20000 points mark became the first selling point. No idea how this happened and seen something similar discussed on here at the time. Know people who don’t do aways but are on supporters clubs and just keep gaining the points. That’s my biggest gripe it’s a piss take
