That's easy mate, out of the 214 or however many songs they released the only three I don't like are the three previously mentioned Harrison songs.
I'm a bit obsessed.
It's funny but everything else I like is jazz.
A lot of Jazz fans admire 64. It's such a great clever melody to play.
I guess my top three are Revolver, Rubber Soul and Abbey Road. :)

From memory I think your a bit young for the big prog rock era, they were my favourite prog band. Also loved King Crimson.
Your right, prog was very self indulgent.
OOALH was a move towards pop. Which all us serious prog fans hated big time, Yes deserted us :)

Judged on its own it’s a great 80s pop rock song and a lot of bands of the time would’ve killed to be able to come up with that tune. I know that it was a big departure as it wasn’t very prog rock. I was only joking anyway, I’ve not heard a lot of Yes but they did some great stuff back in the day.

I think you obviously don't like them and that's fair enough.

There are approximately 20,000 cover versions of their songs by some of the world's leading and revered artists, Frank Sinatra Elvis Presley Elton John Oasis Jimi Hendrix Nina Simone Aretha Franklin David Bowie Joe cocker Bob Dylan Neil Young Crosby stills and Nash, Shirley Bassey Tony Bennett The Beach Boys Count Basie Bon Jovi Bjork BeeGees James Brown Booker T ... list just goes on and on.

They have sold over 1 billion records worldwide. They had a number one album 50 years after they split up.
Ask most top musicians what they think of The Beatles and they will praise them heavily, a lot will even say that The Beatles are the reason they got into music and the music industry. People like Sting and Paul Simon to name but two.
30 songs at number one in UK and America, and most other countries.
In 1965 they had the top 5 positions on the American charts, no British band had ever even had a hit in America.
You can't argue against facts.

What other band has achieved anywhere near the above ?

In what way are they overrated ?

When people use that overrated line, there's no point trying to educate them.

I have absolutely no problem with people not liking The Beatles we all have difference musical tastes.
But when someone says they were overrated I just don't see how anyone can say that, you can't argue with facts and the opinions of top musicians.
