Awful songs by bands you love

They are my favourite band, Cheap Trick, but they did a whole album I hate: The Doctor. There are some decent songs in there (as proven by the rearranged version of Take Me To The Top on the 'Silver' live album) but they are absolutely buried under horrendous 80's production, and way too many keyboards .... it's like the producer was trying to copy The Car's Heartbeat City album (Mutt Lange) sound, but failed miserably.

The Flame .... heralded Tom Petersson's return to the band, and was a huge hit the world over (UK excepted) even No1 in US, but it's not my favourite .... nor theirs, in fact they hated it, but were under pressure to use outside writers at the time.

Yesterday and Eleanor Rigby by the Beatles.
In fact there are loads of Beatles tracks that i hate.
The Black and Blue Album by the Stones apart from Fool to Cry.

Bob Marley and the Wailers - Redemption Song, I can't abide it. It's regarded as classic among some. I love the Uprising album though.
Same with Champagne Supernova its another one I've never got.

A recurring theme ,generally is that an artists best work is usually done in the early years, Elton john.bowie, rod stewart , name most of em ,and you find as they age they are less creative/innovative
