was excellent yesterday. him/stones/dinho and ederson were all great. thought we would concede for sure when I saw how walker and mendy played but we kept it together.

I've said it again and again on here, but I am so glad we went back in for him. Was gutted when he chose to stay at Bilbao because I thought he was the perfect Pep CB. Worth every penny knowing we've got him and Stones for the next 8+ years.

I guess I have to add the '@ CB' caviar.

But it's not really about just him. I thought the cohesion on defense was not up to par.

We were very low down in the stand so it's not the greatest perspective to assess many things but it wasn't always clear who was picking up Kane, for instance. That said, Spurs were restricted to four shots so I'm not convinced that defensive cohesion was a real issue.

Nor would I.

It's quite possible and plausible, that we have the worlds two best CB's (of course in relation to what Pep demands from a CB) Stones and Laporte.

What did they cost us, again?
And possibly the best goalkeeper in the world in terms of what Pep demands from a goalkeeper. There’s quite a small group of goalkeepers that have the attributes Pep needs. We’re just blessed really with these players. Bargains, the lot of them.
