He is a great player ,will be our leader in the coming years.
Does anyone think he has a part in their second goal? Despite his excellent game of course

Blame the lads stood around the free kick, they should have stopped it being taken quickly while the defenders got into position and they were asleep.

They definately were culpable. The guy was quick and very slightly offside. Having said all that, given his all round ability and performance levels, I think he will be disappointed that we conceded that.

Honestly other side I think he stops that goal, it was awkward for him to block the shot with his weaker foot. The likes of Silva and Sterling need to wise up in those positions though, they sold Stones and Laporte down the river.
 
He's shown his quality from the day he joined us, starting to look like a great bit of business for what we paid. I'd like to say the press were all saying the fee was way too much but I think a fair few actually rated him having watched him in La Liga and the VVD fee put it into perspective for the most biased ones.

When you see how much the Dippers paid for VD and the ridiculous tackle he made on Sane to concede a penalty , Laporte is looking like the bargain of the year , his distribution , reading of the game , heading ability , timing of his tackles , just cannot fault anything , its early days , and sad as it is that VK's career is winding down , but we may have found the prefect replacement , he is not a leader like VK but every other aspect of his game is just as good.
 
I read he is a relaxed guy but on the pitch he is serious as serious gets apparently and it shows. His concentration and focus is second to none nor is his play. I had no idea he was as good as this.
 
Unbelievable game today. How he doesn't make the France squad is beyond me but fuck those guys. He's got absolutely everything and if he keeps this form up it won't even be a debate whether he's world class or not.
 
In a game like that, to come out as MOTM says everything.

Here’s hoping his partnership with Stones lasts another 5-10 years!
