Suspect playing 70 mins against Sheff United was too much too soon. I imagine it wasn't the original plan either, but we were so poor that night until Sergio came on
It surprised a lot of us. 70 minutes seemed a lot, especially in a physically tough match. You’d think the medical staff would be more assertive...unless they thought it was OK of course.

I think you've got it completely the wrong way round.

I think Pep saw him come back against Sheffield united and look instantly like exactly the player he was before the injury, and decided he doesnt need for play a bunch of games to get into form before Madrid.

I think he will play once more before Madrid, the game before. Pep said hes not injured and theres no reason to doubt him.

He'll play against Sheff Wednesday, we can't afford to risk him in a higher intensity game before the Madrid tie.

Pep has said twice he has muscle fatigue,perfectly normal after a bad injury,rushing him back for one specific game. might put him back for several more
