And not a flying fuck was given that day.

Don't know enough about him, plenty saying he is the real deal.

Always seemed overkill to me wanting him AND Stones.

At least Stones is homegrown and used to the Premier League.

Fair play to Laporte if he wants to remain loyal, regardless of a pay rise.

As far as I'm concerned, it's £40m we can spend elsewhere, hopefully on a proper left back!!
was at a doo yesterday with a handful of pros, an ex blue told me Laporte had stalled as stones was done, the Everton pro laughed and said "months ago," I'm not the type to beg for info or look star struck so I just replied I'd heard we were in the market for some quality and was looking forward to next year, the Everton lad replied "for sure, I wish they wanted me". There was a general nod in agreement and end of convo.

Can't get too upset about missing out on paying a ridiculous amount of money on a kid who I've never seen play, hasn't even been capped for his country and has a broken leg!!!

From the "leaks" Iv read, city aren't overly bothered seems the stance. Implying that the deal was offered and if excepted would of been good, but it wasn't and city ain't going to loose sleep.

These the leaks that have just appeared straight after he signed a new deal........

Something is fishy about this. His new release clause is way too low. They literally raised it by only 10 million. Makes me wonder if something else is going on.

Is this a case of instead of triggering the release we are buying outright for say 45 million. Laporte doesn't have to trigger his clause. He doesn't pay tax on the clause. Bilbao gets an extra 5 million and we pay what we would have anyway in taxes? Unlikely I know...I obviously want this kid.

This is over, as you can see by our desperate flapping with PR spinning the local journos

So £51 million for a CB is now too low? Christ. Nothing fishy imo

Not getting Laporte and now City want Toure to stay for next season.. This day is weird!

If by weird you mean shite. Laporte has everything to be a properly top defender under Pep, better than anyone we have at the moment. All this 'City relaxed, thought he was expensive, not the finished article' bullshit is just that. If the theatre of propoganda over the road were coming out with such guff we would be pissing our sides and rightly so.

Still, yet another lesson to those, who likely still won't learn, that deals aren't done until they're done. Even if your source is from Barnsley.
