us, city and in fact the whole football community can try their best to downplay this but the reality is we've lost out(for now) on an awesome player.

Surely the fat lady has cleared her throat by now ;)

At the end of the day, we were still prepared to take a punt on him & pay a massive fee despite an awful injury. Total lack of class on his part if he didn't even have the decency to inform the club of his decision, and he will regret it.

That's fine by me if he wants to stay at Bilbao finish 5th-8th every season and never win anything. Whilst we'll still be challenging for everything and have the best manager in the world incoming
This doesn't matter does it? Did you feel like going to join the United party when we got relegated? If you are a fan of the club you play for, it's a tougher call than just Pep and Great City are calling I must go.

Loved the guy but it is understandable from his view point. That said I am happy to not have 2 CBs coming in (Hopefully not another target) for around 80 mill. I do think we need to test what we have and surely it is more than enough.

Again no sour grapes, if I had to choose one of laporte or stones I would have chosen Laporte. You miss some deals and it is totally fine. We were already paying huge money for him.
