Quicker and stronger than Otamendi and Stones and just as comfortable on the ball.

Initially when we were linked I was pessimistic due to him making mistakes and getting suspended all the time(over aggressive) though that part of his game has been brushed up and he's calmed down.

Adding some physicality in the absence of Kompany whilst not sacrificing on quality like we do with Mangala. Sign him up
Interesting that, cheers. Is he any good at organising those around him or is he quiet?

I can't believe how f***ing thick those Rags are on Red Cafe.

Have many of them have added up how much the 'Not so Special One' has spent on players and their wages since he became United's Manager? Denial!

With the Rags it's all about Pep.

They would love it, just love it, if Pep was at United, and at not at City.

Instead Pep picked City. And in their Raggie desperation the Glazers and Woodward went for Mourinho. He was never their first choice. Pep was. And every Rag knows that!

It’s great to see them suffering. They would love Pep, they know it to deep down. This United way they all go on about is proof of that. They’ve got a manager that plays the exact opposite of it, but we’ve got just the manager that plays attacking football. They then go on about money spent. They’ve spent pretty much similar to us over the years so I can’t see how they can moan about our spending, we’ve actually got a lower net spend this season and a lower wage bill. Players only play for City for money though, ha.

We’re going a bit off topic, but fuck them.

Id say the other way. Will give us extra forward options as the full backs will become midfielders

Ie

Eddie
Nico. Stones. Laporte
Walker. Dinho. Zinchenko
Debryune silva. Sane
Sergio

Or similar
But against teams that park the bus, the full backs do that anyway. For it to create an extra - useful - man, you need to know that that extra CB can pass it better than your extra deep sitting DMF would with just two CBs. And that seems unlikely.

The same Newcastle fans that want a new owner. They would love to be in our position and have owners like ours. Everton fans are the same. Reminds me of Liverpool fans when they claim they would hate an owner like ours, fucking oil bastards with no human rights etc. Fucking bollocks. No football fan in this country would be complaining if they had owners at their club like City have. I love the jealousy.

That's probably why those Newcastle fans were spouting their bollocks - because Amanda Staveley's proposed takeover (ironically with financial backing from the same part of the world as our owner) has seemingly fallen through, plus it was rumoured that Mansour was interested in buying Newcastle at the same time he bought City.

Liverpool fans have absolutely no room to talk as they were openly begging to be bought out by Dubai International Capital when it all went tits up under Hicks and Gillett: https://www.liverpoolecho.co.uk/news/liverpool-news/liverpool-fc---show-directors-3489451

Also present were DIC’s chief negotiator Amanda Staveley and chief executive Sameer Al-Ansari, who attended as guests of George Gillett, who missed the match through illness.

It was the first time Al Ansari and Hicks Snr had met since talks with the investment company broke down last month.

With other famous faces including Fabio Capello, Sven Goran Eriksson, Steve Mclaren, Football Association chief executive and Liverpool fan Brian Barwick, and Steven Gerrard's wife Alex Curran, the action in the director's box was almost as intriguing as what was happening on the pitch.

On the Kop, there were little protests to be heard against the club's American owners and the usual “Yanks Out, DIC SOS” banners were missing for the big match.

Some United fans on Red Cafe the other week were wanting the Saudi monarchy to buy them out - a thread that was active at the same time they had another one slagging off our owner and his alleged human rights record. Funnily enough, all the gobby fuckers on that thread were mysteriously missing from the Saudi thread!

It’s jealousy, plain and simple. Yeah, United have got their history, I’d love to have a trophy cabinet like they’ve got. But they’d love to be steamrolling the league, season after season like they used to a few years back. They can’t accept that there’s clubs with similar money now. They would be liars if they said they wouldn’t like an owners like City’s.

Oh come on mate, Demichelis was clearly a very good centre back in his day but by the time we got him he was completely finished and our success was very much in spite of him rather than him being a positive in that success.
I think he was pretty good for two seasons, he was a stalwart at centre back when Vinnie had one of his injured spells, was a significant part of the team that won the title.
His last season is better forgotten when he looked like he was wading through treacle.

Wednesday is transfer deadline. We play on Sunday and Wednesday, so I'm not convinced that the club will be signing or announcing players on those days. That leaves us what 4 days to sign both Laporte and Fred? Surely if we're planning to sign both, Laporte should get done before Sunday's match?

Sick of reading fucking bullshit about history by United fans who believe football was invented in 1992. History is written in the moment, and at this moment we’re the best team in world football, with the best squad, we’re twleve points clear in the worlds toughest league and have beaten every single so called rival. We’re in a cup final, have topped our CL group and are the only English side in a realistic position to win a quadruple. Oh, and we’re set to get over 100 points , and we’ve just set a record of eighteen wins in a row.

Anybody who fucking denigrates our achievements this season and brings up history from stuff that happened twenty years ago when the league was monopolised by the sky big four is a fucking moron who deserves nothing but contempt.

20 odd years ago there was the sky big 1 pre Wenger and you know who that was!! No wonder they hark back to it.....

Yeah he's an organiser, been the mainstay of their defence since he broke through, different partners all the time(like us trying to find a partner for Vinny). This season he has Unai Nunez(20 year old playing his first top flight games) along side him and 8 clean sheets in 20 games is good going.

I hate how 'history' has become synonymous with 'success' in football. Because obviously saying that you love your team because they used to win anything is tantamount to admitting being a glory supporter. Instead, you're a fan because of their rich history......of winning. Nobody's supporting Notts County because they've got more history than anyone else.

Only read the last few pages. Would like to know the general consensus re this transfer. I know Pep wants him, but what about Bluemooners?
I think Dabo will be a great addition to the squad, personally.

I am looking forward to seeing how he links up with Dunne, as he is getting on in years.

If only Pep was as up-to-the-minute as us fans, we would have had Javi Martinez by now!
