Ba

Mot going to Africa. Would swap him for Mario in a heartbeat
He wouldn't get in our team

But I think he'll be a good buy for Chelsea. Surely they will come to an agreement after they've played their games and seen what the going rate is

Mario and Dzeko are both far better than Demba Ba. Newcastle would cream themselves if they could do a swap.

You guys are on crack.
Only this.

wouldn't get in our team? Do realize that his total of 13 goals in the PL is higher than any of our strikers? He is 5 ahead of Edin, on 8. And he has been playing in a poor team.

How many minutes has Edin been on the pitch for?

How many minutes has Ba been on the pitch for?

Ba has scored more than Aguero, I think we should offer the Geordies a swap, Ba has scored 13 goals this season!!!! We would be silly not to surely?

Crack/Shrooms/Acid put them down gentlemen, put them down.

Get him on loan til the summer and send Guidetti the other way.

A win win for us Jon will get some game time in a big ground and it'll keep Ba from upsetting the Toon. It would also let us dump Balo off on loan/sell as well.

In the summer we can move for Falco etc and Ba can piss off where ever he feels he'll be loved. It's the sort of deal AC would do and wouldn't weaken us along with saving some wage money.

Yea because I'm sure Newcastle would agree to this :( he's either sold or kept.

There's no doubt you are right about Dzeko or Mario being better, however, if we WERE to sell one of them an it was only an if, I think Ba would be a decent signing indeed, especially for the money and is obviously a proven Premier League goalscorer.

We could argue about who's better player or not but for me Ba made much more impact than both Dzeko and Balotelli did in their PL careers.

How he would fit our team is something you never know until it happens but he is quality player and was quality much before he came to PL so I wouldn't be so resolute in saying Balotelli and Dzeko are much better than he is.

He played in Germany in same time Edin did and though Dzeko was best Bundesliga player in that time Ba was also one of the best strikers over there. I watched Hoffenheim lot back then as Ibisevic played there and had an amazing half of the season one year so our TV was broadcasting Hoffenheim games each weekend and even if Ibisevic was banging them left, right and center I thought Ba is their best player.

He then came to England and made an impact in both West Ham and Newcastle, he added to his body strength and became very, very good striker. His technic is good, he's not slow, he's good in air, he has good shot, he is very good finisher.

In no way he should be counted as flavor of the month or disregarded compared to Dzeko and Balotelli just like that or because he didn't play for some more quality teams or wasn't hyped to the sky. You could bet he would play without that knee problem.

I don't know how much he wants n wages part but fee itself is a steal. His knees are risk though but he had 3 seasons without major injuries, he's 28 in May so I guess it's only slightly bigger risk than with some other player who had not failed a medical at Stoke 3 years ago.

Alan Pardew comments, Monday:

"I think Demba's becoming a victim of a few sharks around him. I feel a little bit sorry for Demba because I think people represent him who are not actually representing him.

"People out there are fuelling this who are not actually involved. But they want to be involved and that is the sort of world we are in.

"I can't remember a situation like this, with this level of speculation and information being put about. That's a frustration for us as a club, massively.

"Demba is as mentally strong a player as I have come across He's had to cope with injury earlier in his career and disappointments with the way some clubs have treated him.

"He can't be disappointed with the way we've treated him so I hope he rewards us by staying with us for the next couple of years.

"It's difficult for our fans to feel Demba is solid with the team, amid everything else that's going on. When he's played he's never represented that, he's always represented his full commitment to the team.

"But having said that our fans want loyalty. This is a big club and I think perhaps he needs to make a statement at some point.

"He needs to make a decision fairly early, for everyone's sake, most of all himself. And especially for our fans - they need to know if he's going to be with us to the summer or not.

"We've had a few discussions but if he feels our offer isn't right for him, what can I do? He has never said he wanted to leave the club.

"We need to know as well, we need to make sure that we have a replacement ready if he leaves, and it will become more apparent if he leaves early.

"Has he ever said he wants to leave? No. We've had a few discussions along that line. At the end of the day, if he feels that our offer isn't right for him, what can I do?
"I can't remember a situation like it, quite with this level of speculation and information being put about. So I think that's a frustration for us as a club, massively. I can't put it any milder than that.

"I don't want to get trapped in an Andy Carroll situation here, where I said he wouldn't go and he did go. That's really all I'm guarding against. There's nothing that I know of that suspects he won't play on Wednesday.

"We've coped with it before and we'll cope with it again but ideally we want him to stay. In this window and in the situation we're in, I'd like to think he will stay. But that will be his decision.

"It's getting close to the point where we say 'no more', but the (new contract) offer is still there."

Game Over

Can't be true because on Monday Sky Sports sources said "negotiations hadn't gone well with Ba's agent."

On a serious not they sell Sturridge for £12m and by Ba for £7.5m
Really good business.

Game Over

Least we will have time to get a replacement in as opposed to when we sold carroll

I'm sure your owner would change this situation for Carrol's one to happen again :)

Chelsea getting stronger and stronger. If we don't make it, hope they will beat United for title.

-- Wed Jan 02, 2013 4:32 pm --

Since Torres one, Chelsea transfer business is close to perfect.
