My family has been the victim of violent crime twice one resulting in a death.
The people who commit the worst crimes should be locked up for life with no privilages a cell with a bed a toilet and a hatch for food no other privilages.If you new this was the punishment for Murder, drink driving,Armed robbery,Rape ,Child abuse etc. then people might think twice.I appreciate that some criminals can be rehabilitated.However the hardened violent ones have to realise actions have consequences.Seeing 1st hand what happened to my Aunt and her 3 kids when my uncles was murdered by a drink driver he was 8 times over the limit got 10 yrs and is out now.My Aunt and her kids are serving a life sentance.Did the punishment fit the crime?.
