H'ed still take a none homegrown spot in the P/L squad though if I'm not mistaken.

We have those spare. It obviously wouldn't matter for 6 months and it's not a risk involved in signing him, it's just a basic maths question before signing him.

Ancelotti on City linked Badstuber: "If Holger wants to leave, we would be open to that. But we are only willing to let him leave on loan."

A loan deal would please me. There's too much risk in buying another injury-prone player.

Yeah, I wouldn't mind if we took him on loan. It's no risk, and he could help out as a short gap measure.

Read summat yesterday where Badstuber's agent (Prof Peter Duvinage),was quoted as saying he's had "very good talks" with Bayern regards the players exit.
No mention of any clubs, also said his contract runs out at the end of the season.

I might be being slow here but if his contract runs out at the end of the season then why are they only interested in loaning him out? Surely they would be better off getting whatever they can for him now????

That's why I put it in my post,bizzare.......contracted till 30/6/17....apparently

Perhaps someone has offered cash for a loan spell that out-ways the cash they would get from a sale.
