Bags full of severed cat heads found near curry mile

I can see your point of view Stony, but for me, I struggle to understand the idea of us owing them anything. If an individual dog is born and an individual sheep is born, do I owe that dog more than I owe the sheep? It hasn't earnt anything from me as an individual; they were both born into this world the same way, with the same feelings and emotions etc. I think that if I'm allowed to kill and eat the sheep, I should be allowed to kill and eat the dog.

He was looking for a row but no chance on a matchday,i've flapping to do lol

I promise you I wasn't looking for a row, Karen. I've no interest in falling out with anyone or having a confrontation. I'm genuinely perplexed at the mindset of people in general. I've never understood why people tend to be of the opinion that some animals deserve life; others deserve to have their throats slit. I find it fascinating, and would like to try and understand it better.
In the UK, cat = pet, dog=pet

In other parts of the world they = food

Mmmmmm cat.

I get you,i can only go by my view that i don't believe we need to treat animals in the way humans do just because we can
My choice is to treat them with respect and not eat them and love my cats like they are part of the family.I am happy i stick to my convictions on it but never ram my views down anyone elses throats

Respect to you for that. Out of genuine interest, can I ask why you feel differently about organic cows and free range hens? We know that free range doesn't mean much (except that they're not kept in battery cages), so do you feel it's OK for those animals to have their lives cut short, but not others? Thanks for sharing your view.

I don't want any animals killed but they are so i rather they have a decent life first
Google pig cages and battery farming and you will see why i don't like it
As to why we don't eat our pets, thats just the culture we have in this country

OK, thanks - you've answered my question. I suppose I just think history / culture / tradition is a really shit and invalid reason for doing anything, but that's just my view (e.g. we used to have a culture of slavery, blah blah blah...).

Well yes, but we never had Kunta Kinte curry on the menu at the time.

Some people slightly miss the point, I guess some people would not mind eating cats and dogs although human instinct is to generally avoid eating carnivorous mammals, but just like the horse meat scandal if you pay for chicken and get cat that is fraud a bit like the old trick in Italian restaurants passing off pork as veal

These bluemoon kangaroo courts are getting worse, completely writing off any chance of a serial cat murderer or a hungry Korean family and straight to the curry houses, disgraceful ;)
