Bale to consider future

Would be interesting choice, likely cost more than Hazard though which is just nuts.

If Spurs lose Bale and Modric and fail to replace Adebayor can Van de Vart be far behind?

Potentially they'll have lots to spend but its always easier said than done.

Maximum I'd go up to would be £30Million, anything more than that and Spurs are just taking the piss. Let's face facts though, if Gareth does want to leave to play for CL football and for trophies Levy and 'Arry have no power whatsoever to prevent him from doing so. Much like the Vedran Corluka situation this if it pulls off. How the shoe is on the other foot now Spurs haha.

I actually thought Van Der Vaart would be the first to jump ship, and it may very well be so.. remember he was not happy getting a part role in the Spurs side, and he said so publicly..
Adebayor seems to have been preferred over him..

Let's be right - he's the best left back/winger in world football NOW. And he'll only get better too. There's a price to pay for that 'world x11 talent' - basically, its more than anyone else can/would pay!

Spurs can sit tight as they have his goollies tied up for a few more years yet. So, the price is; what he's worth now, plus what Spurs expect him to be worth in two years time, plus beating any other bids.
I would think that total is closer to 40m - and he's worth it too! Him on one wing and Richards on tuther would be a Champ League winning formula.
Bale suits Mancini's style (overlapping full backs not wingers). He's Prem League proven, British, ambitious, supremely talented and a nice bloke too!

I wouldn't have Bale, personally I think he's over-rated

And you are entitled to your opinion sir, as misguided as that patently is..................

If you look at what we paid for Milner, and then look at what Bale has produced, I'm guessing we'd pay more than £30m.

Absolutely bang on!

One's a pretty decent Prem player - the other is going to be a world superstar, whether that's in Spain or with us depends on us stumping up 40m - (we've got the first one) At some stage, now or in future we will have to improve our left wing/full back.

Let's be right, he doesn't want to play left back, he's happy to play on the wing but the position he really wants to play is just off the forward on the left, like a wide second striker, so the left back option won't get off the ground
