Maximum I'd go up to would be £30Million, anything more than that and Spurs are just taking the piss. Let's face facts though, if Gareth does want to leave to play for CL football and for trophies Levy and 'Arry have no power whatsoever to prevent him from doing so. Much like the Vedran Corluka situation this if it pulls off. How the shoe is on the other foot now Spurs haha.
Let's be right -
he's the best left back/winger in world football NOW. And he'll only get better too. There's a price to pay for that 'world x11 talent' - basically, its more than anyone else can/would pay!
Spurs can sit tight as they have his goollies tied up for a few more years yet. So, the price is; what he's worth now, plus what Spurs expect him to be worth in two years time, plus beating any other bids.
I would think that total is closer to 40m - and he's worth it too!
Him on one wing and Richards on tuther would be a Champ League winning formula.
Bale suits Mancini's style (overlapping full backs not wingers). He's Prem League proven, British, ambitious, supremely talented and a nice bloke too!
