Home or work, well mostly home these days.
Can't see a thread anywhere but the BBC have an article about whether football should change to a 60 minute game, but with a clock stop when the ball is out of play, and therefore lasting 60 minutes per game. Interested to see what people think about the idea ?

Further down the article are the stats for each club, it doesn't come as a great surprise that we are at the top, but nearly 4 minutes more than anyone else in our games is a surprise. Also I'm not surprised by 2 of the bottom 3.

all it needs is the ref to do his job properly and book the timewasters, add on the correct amount of time, what happened to the six second rule for the goalkeepers
too many ref catching their breath back from jogging round it suits them as it is

Not a full solution to time wasting but I’d like a ban on substitutions in injury time. Calculating injury time should be easy, really. 30 secs for each goal, 30 for each substitution and then any stoppages. If a player tries to waste time, the ref adds 30 secs to the time to be added on.

Been saying this for a long time, it's crackers the amount of time wasting that goes on, although reading the article the game with the least time in play this season was west ham v Brentford with 41mins 33secs, I always thought that the teams that wasted time were the shit teams against us as they wanted to grab a draw or defend a slim lead, so can't really fathom why 2 of the shall we say lesser teams playing each other would waste a ridiculous amount of time.
It's pretty much every game for us nowadays, if the game is close with half an hour left we only get about 10 mins play

Have the time on the big screens and linked to the referee watch, then let see when he really stops the watch ?
I was laughing when the ref was pointing to his watch ?? If he stopped the watch then there is no need for injury time is there, it's a myth when ref say they stopped the watch then add injury time ?

Just stop lying to fans and make out you stopped the watch

Not against 60 minutes ball in play clocks but that would include stopping the clock for all dead balls too .Though think a better alternative is a 90 minute stadium clock that every one can see that is stopped for all substitutions, injuries, VAR. checks and can ve put back by a minute every time the ref points to his watch for time wasting.

There wouldn't be any time wasting if the clock was stopped when the ball wasn't in play

Villa bottom with 52 minutes and 23 seconds.

Unless we score early, that last game is going to be a nail biter with all the time wasting.
