Agreed. Not a chance in hell of Rodri getting it. The winner has likely already been decided. You only need to look back at the list of previous winners to know that you either have to play for (or have played for) real or barca to win the trophy. It's almost obscene when the evidence is so strong that it's rigged. Last year being one of the prime examples.

This award used to mean something, but as soon as it became the Messi and Ronaldo show, it stopped bearing any relation to what happens on the pitch and has basically become a PR tool for certain players to raise their profile. They clearly campaign for it like a film producer at the Oscars, and it wouldn't surprise me if one day, loads of dodgy shit comes out about the way this award is......well, awarded.

You can't argue with a Real Madrid player winning after their season last year. But then equally, we won the fucking treble and it went to an MLS player.
