Sorry, but the more I see of him the more I think the bloke is a complete arse. I would also argue that despite him obviously having a huge amount of talent, he will never make it as a truly great player because of that attitude. Be nice if I was wrong & he did it with us, but tbh I don't think either of these things are likely.

You're right, because 20 year olds living in a completely new country with no family or friends from earlier in their life ever change and mature. I'm so glad you can see the future.

I haven't claimed to be able to 'see the future' have I? Just my thoughts on him. Hope that's OK with you.

No it's not, when people continue throw this kid under the bus and saying he will waste his talent and not amount to being a great player that is not ok with me. If I were to say you will never amount to anything, would that be ok with you? No it wouldn't. Why can we not give this lad time to adjust to being in Manchester. You know, a few years ago, people would be giving an arm and a leg to get this lad in the squad, but now, people can't wait to get rid of him. It's amazing how the money of others can change the perspectives of others. Not to mention, if this lad is English, not one single thread like this ever pops up.

I mean honestly, people are all up in arms because the lad didn't want to applaud the fans? Seriously, this is what this board has come to, people getting all pissed over lads not applauding? Who the hell cares. Is it the most politically correct thing for him to do? No, of course not. But everyone knew what we were getting when we signed him, and yet people expect him to change his ways over night? Yeah, that's realistic. Not to mention, he has faced crazy amounts of racism, from his own fans included, for most of his career, so he has never been used to saluting his own fans for cheering him. Good grief, cut the lad a break.

So you're saying it's not at least possible that he might have an attitude problem that could cause him to not reach his potential? After all, we've never seen that with other talented footballers before have we?

I said that it would be good if he could do this and it would be great if he could do it with us. I fear he won't because at the moment he seems like a bit of a knob. Whether that's OK with you or not, frankly I don't give a toss :-)

I never he wouldn't misuse his talent, but for so many to just assume we won't is extremely ignorant. And when you routinely put in your posts the he is a "knob", or so other insult it completely discredits any sense of impartiality. You try to play it off as you hope he succeeds, but when you call the lad a knob, or any other insult, you show your true colors.

I doubt he'll be here next season. Shame as he could become some player.

Needs educating and needs to get the massive chip off his shoulder.

If you spent your entire professional career dealing with racism, would you just "get that chip off your shoulder" in a matter of months? Especially, if you are 20 years old? Absolutely not, it takes time, so let's give that to the lad.

My true colours are that I hope he does well for us. However, he does seem to frequently act like a knob! I'm sorry, but only saying it as I (and others) see it.

Oh now it's the racism thing making him an arrogant sod?

He's moved from that to another league now so he should be relieved a bit. If he sorts his head out then great, if he doesn't then fuck off to Milan.

If you have ever dealt with racism in your life, you would know, it takes quite a while to get over it. Then, take into consideration, he dealt with it for years, from thousands of people at a crack, and you want him to just forget that? I'm sorry to break it to you, but the real world doesn't work that way.
