balo knee surgery tomorrow

Gutted. I guess we'll have to make do with Tevez and Adebayor as striking options with the likes of Silva, Milner and Adam Johnson in behind them. Sucks to be us.

just made me feel so much better

FFS Gutted is an understatement.

I suppose we have to put things into perspective. 6-8 Weeks is not the end of the world. He could easily have carried on playing on it and caused further damage. Now is the time for Ade to take his chance. We can cope with this and it might turn out to be a blessing in disguise. Just hope it heals ok and we dont lose another striker to injury in the mean time.

I'm glad City gave his injury some time to heal, before they put him under the knife.

I know some have questioned City for not doing the op earlier, but you have to give some injuries time to heal using time, medication and physio.

The last option should be surgery and it should NEVER be taken lightly.

Well done City for not trying to convince him to play and eventually ending up with a Michael Owen or Torres type problem.

I'm gutted, but we will have Mario's services for up to another 10-12 years by doing things steadily and not rushing things.

Credit where it's due, well done City's medical team.
annoying, but the sensible option all round.

Agree !

What we don`t want to see is what Torres went through at LFC !!
Rush him back and never see him properly fit.
Sod that !!
City medics know what they`re doing !!

Of course it's not a disaster but Ballotelli admitted straight away it was an old injury. Either they knew about it and signed him regardless looking at a long term deal or they haven't learnt a thing since the Santa Cruz debacle. Disappointing either way.
