Tolmie,

have you heard anything about Khaldoon's reaction to the match?

Are we looking to change manager?

Tolmie, what did the sheik have for breafast last Tuesday?

Tolmie, what size shoes does Khaldoon wear?

Tolmie, can you please tell us what the score of tomorrow's game will be?

Flipping ridiculous! I'm sure Tolmie is a nice guy and all but ffs he doesn't know everything.

I didn't say he did, I was only asking if he had heard anything. Do you feel better now?

balotelli you need a brain transplant and stop the excuses just do the talkin on the pitch! Show us you love our club and repay the faith we had in you, enough said! In a nutshell just grow up!!

Given Rooney hasn't got a yellow card so far this season I think it's fair to say he might have benefited from a touch of lenience from the referees over the years.

I can think of quite a few occasions where he should have been sent off but was given a stern talking too instead (and a cuddle and pat on the bum).

Indeed. And while that doesn't excuse some of Balotelli's indiscretions, it's worth pointing out that Rooney is hardly a shining beacon of good on-pitch behaviour. Seeing a City fan of all people almost bragging that he's only had 2 reds in his United career is rather bizarre, especially when you look at some of the nasty shit he's pulled on the pitch yet got away with it. I could understand a red coming out with that but a fellow blue? Words fail me.

Its not bragging, its pointing out the fact his disciplinary record is wank when people are arguing back with Rooney this, Rooney that at his age. If he's here next year, he needs to buckle down and cut the crap out at the end of the day, we want a squad of winners, not clowns.

Exactly but you are not allowed to point anything out that might upset the Balotelli lovers. Bragging? Where I am bragging? Jesus Christ we fucking clutch at straws on here at times to make our players look like some sinned against saints.

Dzeko gets fucking hammered on here for one reason and that is he isnt good enough. He didnt ask to be bought for £27m. Mancini is to blame for that piece of business and he should be the one who gets it in his neck for fucking it up, but he doesnt because he also falls into the can't do any wrong to some people. Dzeko has never refused to come on as far as I know, Has never been sent off and therefore needlessly suspended and whilst being poor in some of the things he does has never rocked any boats. I dont read about him shagging hookers, setting fireworks off, being a dick and yet he is slaughtered for being crap.

Rooney is a twat and gets away with shit but I couldnt give a fuck about Rooney and I am sick of people comparing what Balotelli does to anyone else.

What balotelli does while representing us is out of order and completely unprofessional and thats all that matters to me.

And I and moomba are pointing out that Rooney can count himself rather fortunate that he doesn't have a significantly worse disciplinary record. It's clear for anyone to see that Balotelli gets punished for every single incident of note whereas Rooney doesn't, eg: he cleans out the Wigan player with his elbow and gets a pat on the back from Clattenburg and no retrospective ban whereas Balotelli is likely staring down the barrel of a second retrospective ban in the space of 3 months.

And like I said, none of this excuses some of Balotelli's behaviour but a bit of consistency with regards to which players get punished and which don't wouldn't go amiss.

That stat doesn't tell the whole story about Rooney though, he's had 5 red cards in his entire career and 3 of them have come from foreign referees in a much smaller proportion of his career total of matches, 2 for England and 1 in the CL for United. There's no doubt in my mind that he gets far more leniency from English refs.

Do you really think i'm commenting on what he does off the field?

Look , if you would prefer your kids to look up to players with no personality like Phil Neville and Gareth Southgate that's fine. I'm not saying they shouldn't. But, I think, if my children were looking for a successful sporting role model and they chose somebody that's come African roots and been brought up in a children's home in Italy, they wouldn't have made a bad choice.

This is a joke right? "Best character"? :)

Then your definition of "best character" in the PL is very different from mine. Maybe you refer to Mario the celebrity/entertainer and not the football player?

A character I want my kids to look up to and be inspired by as they dream if becoming professional football players, has pretty much nothing in common with Mario.

And there isnt in my mind either, but Balotelli could have walked three times yesterday, and he continued with late, crap tackles until he did get sent off. He knows he doesnt get any favours from referee's but he still pushes his luck with it, no matter what Rooney's disciplinary record, Balotelli's is still wank.

-- Tue Apr 10, 2012 4:12 pm --

were you you're crying when you wrote that?

The reason we were beat wasn't the number of stupid tackles that Mario made. He got sent off when we were well beaten.

He's fuckin class. He's the best character in the premiership. Why do you care about us winning every game. You must have got used to us winning nothing by now.

Apart from RVB, who also can spit his dummy out and act like a child, I wouldn't have anybody else.

And by the way if something was lost in my remark regarding ' loving a player who puts his foot in', what i meant was, i love a player that physically hurts other players. (there i said it)
Im all for physicality and the game is turning softer and softer, but if youre advocating actions such as stamping on Parker's head then may I recommend UFC? The aim of the game is to play well for a team and win, not hurt someone else.
