Balotelli, Boateng, Kolarov, Silva, Yaya Toure, Milner

twinkle toes SILVA all the way, really settling in now.
Just wondered why the "Hi Ho Silva" song hasn't been sung yet.

I think Milner is being under rated here, same as Gareth Barry gets under rated for his work in the middle of the park.

Silva: 9/10 - What can i say? pure brilliant to watch and makes my heart melt with every delightful touch. The only thing i would like to see him do is bang in a few more goals and then he would be 10/10

Balotelli: 8/10 - His starting to settle and he beginning to adapt to the physical stuff and let his feet do the talking. This lad could easily be on Silva's standards by the seaons out, immense.

Yaya: 7.5/10 - We have seen glimpses of what he is capable of, and i think these glimpses will become more frequent as the season goes on. I'm happy with his performances and i think i'll be even happier later on.

Milner: 7/10 - Don't be fooled, i think alot of this work goes unnoticed. We are still yet to see the best from him however i think he will start getting it right over the xmas period.

Kolarov: 6.5/10 - Big room for improvement from him and he is still finding his feet. There is one thing ive noticed that the other city players must know that we havent in a city shirt yet, and thats he must have a killer shot up his sleeve. He had at his former club and just needs to confidence of a goal to get cracking again.

Boateng: 6/10 - After his solid displays at the world cup i guess he had abit more pressure on himself to mature as a player. We haven't seen much of this lad just yet, he will take longer to fit into the team and has much room for improvement. I think i expected him to be in this form so its no big surprise.

Milner has 4 assists to his name this season. Silva has 2.

There are some odd assessments in this list.

i am glad somebody else noticed this!!

its looking like barry has competition for his most underrated player trophy :)

Assists are important, but they can be misleading. This is why stats are useful, but are no substitute for actually watching the game in its entirety. Going on stats alone, you might even conclude that Milner is a better player than Silva, which is as close to factually incorrect as you can get in football judgements.

Peter Crouch has 5 assists so far this season. I'm pretty sure he's been mediocre at best.

Silva - 9
Class act. Our most gifted player above Balotelli, Tevez and Johnson.
Will get better and better!

Kolarov - 7
He's not played lots yet, but has impressed in the games so far. Does seem to shoot slightly too often, but why not after watching us try and pass the ball into the net in recent games. Will be a top signing.

Balotelli - 7.5
Obviously a very gifted player, skillful and will score lots of goals. His attitude and diving has let him down though thus far! would have been 8.5. Hope he will sort himself out as he gets older, reminds me of drogba at tho mo, but we do need a player of that quality to partner carlos!

Boateng - 6
Looks a decent player, but nothing better than Micah and Zab as other posters have mentioned. I'm sure he will improve and become a top player though!

Milner - 5
Can tell he's trying his best. But he does not seem to produce enough, not even considering his massive transfer fee. I'd expect better that silva for that money! His passing has been awful since he came except for his debut, looked decent in the europa game v redbull slaz but that was a walk in the park, every player looked good. Yet to convince me james! on a plus side, can only get better from now on.

Yaya Toure - 8
Can tell he is class, just the odd game he is quiet. People saying he is a championship player know nothing! but this forum does have the odd nutter.
Will be amazing for us, just want to see some barca esque performances against the top teams from him

:)

Silva 9/10- World class, loves playing the reverse pass, may not score loads but will create shed loads. That ball for Ade's 3rd against LP at home was brilliant.

Bolo 9/10- Amazing talent, this was the signing I was most excited about and has proved in the West Brom and RBS games that he knows where the net is. Only young, getting used to a new league, his potential is huge, has the belief, swagger and talent to be one of the best in the world over the coming years. The back heel against Bolton not far from the corner flag was a joy to watch.

Yaya 8/10- I'm a big fan of Yaya and have argued his case with my blue mates. His body language does give signs of laziness and CBA attitude, but that is not the case. You don't play for Barcelona if your no good. He was immense against Bolton and Fulham and we missed him greatly at Stoke. His use of the ball is generally good spreads it wide and can play the killer ball and also can use a sudden burst of pace and his body position to beat several players, see his two 70 yard runs against WBA.

Kolarov 7/10- Looks good, likes to drive forward can deliver good balls into the box, has a bullet of a shot and is a good option from set pieces. The 7 is mainly based on potential as we have not seen much of him , but is a massive upgrade on Bridge and gives us something different, something we have missed sine the days of Terry Phelan. Will be a good signing.

Boateng 6/10- Watching him at the world cup, I thought we had signed a world beater, but has struggled a little, I think he will come good, just has to settle in and get used to playing in this league, again only young and like Kolarov has not played much, but think he we be a 1st team regular in the coming years.

Milner- 5/10- I'll be honest, I never wanted him in the summer especially for the price, but now he is a blue, he will get my full support. But has struggled. I think we play better when he's not starting (Fulham,Bolton) I know he is one of the most hardest working players in the squad, but apart from the Liverpool and RBS games I have not been impressed. But the Villa fans and Capello seem to rate him very highly, so hopefully soon he will show us what he's all about. Good squad player to have, much better option than Ireland.

Top that with Adam Johnsson and you know that Mancini must have done
something right.
Adam 10/10
Boateng 8/10
Kolarov 10/10
Siva 10/10
Yaya 10/10
Milner 8/10

Be serious..... I love everyone too but to say no one has performed lower than 8/10 is absurd.

I think they're all good signings. It's just a question of the timeline for each of them finding their best form.

Silva is pure genius

As for complaints about the rest, each signing is far superior to any player we've had in that position before, so they're all good signings.

We're the best team in the PL IMO, it's just a question of how long it takes to start playing like it.

in my honest opinion

silva: 10

balotelli: 8

yaya: 7

milner: 3 (he was and still, is overrated)

kolarov: 7

boateng: 6

Silva - 10/10: Showed a phonemanal range of passing, not afraid to have a shot even though he's not scored many, puts in a lot of effort and is not afraid of a tackle unlike most playmakers

Ballotelli - 9/10: Just so good. He may go missing sometimes but that is mostly because he trying to plot the next 5-10 steps to score. Showed tremendous strengh at times and is amazingly talented for 20. Sometimes his attitude is bad, but diving sometimes gives you free-kicks or penalties are you going to complain if he wins a penalty in the last minute at the Swamp, and we win 1-0? Also he seems slightly less off the rails in the last couple of games.

Yaya Toure - 8/10: Superb power house playmaker at times lazy good for nothing overpaid mercenary at others. I believe he's played excellent overall though winning headers providing pinpoint passes and finishing off when it's needed. Could definately be the most important player this season when a final or semi-final comes along.

Milner - 7/10: Work rate is the thing that saves him for most, but I think he's simply a good footballer, nothing fancy, very similar to Barry but he gets the job done almost every match. I'm happy we signed him and believe he can only get better, without the likes of him or Barry in the team City would have far fewer points and Mancini knows it. There is a reason he's been around so long in the Premiership not many prove their worth as much as him.

Kolarov - 7/10: Not seen too much to comment. Some of his shooting seems wayward but certainly effective in terms of power, he was unlucky with the chance at Fulham that the ball got stuck under his feet otherwise the net would have burst into flames. Seems to have a good tackle, just been unlucky with certain things so far. Perhaps should learn to take corners

Boateng - 5.5/10: Seems to have not really brought his A-game yet. He's as of yet not produced his excellent overlaps and killer crosses that have made him a notable full back. Seems to give the winger too many chance to get past him which is never good. Although he favours holding them up rather than putting in the tackle which I like about him, the winger is highly unlikely to produce the killer ball from the byline when you have the likes of Kolo and Kompany in the box. Overall poor but he has definite potential.
