Again, that is unfair on the club.

They pay near £20 million on a player, pay him £100k a week and he's unavailable for 11 games because of his own actions, and they can't fine him 2 weeks wages?
Yes but what about the dodgy club owners in lower leagues trying to screw over a guy who earns £300 a week and has a family to feed. Its there for the little people but its has to encompass everyone
Again, if the player is responsible for missing games and being unavailable for selection.

It's unfair that the club can't take action
Yes but what if its not true. Think for a second. Its to protect the little guys

I'm not sure comparing convicted and appealing rapists and paedophiles has any real direct relation to a footballer taking his employer to tribunal over a disciplinary fine.

Nor do i think our club/players are stupid enough to publicly criticise one of their own, if you believe everything that comes out of their media trained mouths, then more fool you.

So a club can't take action against a player who is unavailable for almost a third of the season due to their own actions?

I think they can

The PFA think otherwise.
The PFA, which will be advising the 22-year-old and his representatives at the tribunal, claims City have breached established guidelines agreed by the union with the Football Association and the Premier League with the support of member clubs. The rules do not allow a club to fine a player for an accumulation of red and yellow cards, as has happened in Balotelli's case. Premier League guidelines only allow clubs to fine players for an accumulation of dissent and violent conduct charges and the PFA contests City's stance that Balotelli was in breach of contract last season.
Again, that is unfair on the club.

Under the current guidelines which are accepted by all parties, no the can't. And this is why the PFA allowed the appeal to go ahead. If you don't like the rules, change the rules.

I would imaging that the PFA were quite happy to accept a compromise solution meaning the rules don't get examined and possibly changed and no president is made.

But to be clear. In the view of the player and his union the club acted outside of the guidelines and therefore an appeal was justified.

Two years with nothing to show for it, the novelty has worn off, its taken until the 11th hour to call the bluff on his and his legal team's 'willy waving'.

How many last chances, i'm not even sure the squad see him as an asset, more of a nuisance. The talent is there, the application isnt... he's wasting a squad space for someone who actually wants it.

Taking your own club to tribunal, when you're Mario Balotelli... it was never going to end well!

vinny, our captain, seemed to speak well of him the other night, in spite of redknaps quivering bottom lip
Well he's not exactly going to call his team mate a **** on t.v is he.

He missed a almost a third of the season due to his actions.

Surely a two week fine is acceptable?

and surely having the same basic rights as a murderer or rapist has is acceptable
I addressed that point when you made it the first time

so you agree he has the right to appeal?

as for the two weeks wages, no i dont agree as this is aganst his unions rules and is there to protect lower paid footballers....shit rolls down hill mate

have you had your daily wank over him yet ?? i honestly think you are deluded and really dont know that much about football. how you can continually support this "prodigious" talent !!!

are you related to him ?
Because he is a very good footballer that is wanted by top clubs across Europe and has scored nearly 40 goals for us?

And it would be nice if some of the anti-Balotelli posters could try and make a point without resorting to homosexual comments. Just once perhaps.
Top clubs
No fucker wants him

Ballon d'Or nominee says to me that the football world rates him.higher than some on here.

I understand what your saying, but with the exception of the Liverpool sending off, Mario missed 10 games deservedly.

That's a lot of games to miss, when you've invested heavily in the player.
