No fucker wants him

Ballon d'Or nominee says to me that the football world rates him.higher than some on here.
Is that his get out of jail card?
Who cares

People are suggesting over and over again that no-one in football would want him.if he became available.

Ballon d'Or shows that people in the football world do rate his ability so the chances are there would be clubs interested.

Yes but what if its not true. Think for a second. Its to protect the little guys
I understand what your saying, but with the exception of the Liverpool sending off, Mario missed 10 games deservedly.

That's a lot of games to miss, when you've invested heavily in the player.

Im not going to argue this any more I agree with a rule that stops lower league players getting screwed over it has to be all encompassing so that's all there is to it
What if a lower league player stamped on someone, and got sent off deservedly 2/3 in a season and missed a third of the season due to his own actions?

Two years with nothing to show for it

I would argue that he doesn't have nothing to show for his time at the club so far.

It might not be as much as you or I would like but I think people have lost sight of the fact that he has contributed to the clips success in a positive way.

A flick on here, a last minute penalty there.

There's no sustained run of form, typified by the Euros: Fantastic for most of the semi's, anonymous in the final.

I guess one could also counter that, had he contributed more positively and more consistently, then we could well have found ourselves not needing that flick to Aguero or the penalty against Spurs last year.

On the other hand, if we really want to keep and develop Mario, we should be giving him an extended run in the side not, as we have done, dropped from squad, start the derby, dropped from squad.

Let's as a club determine his future, either show him to the pitch or show him the door.

Again, that is unfair on the club.

They pay near £20 million on a player, pay him £100k a week and he's unavailable for 11 games because of his own actions, and they can't fine him 2 weeks wages?

Under the current guidelines which are accepted by all parties, no the can't. And this is why the PFA allowed the appeal to go ahead. If you don't like the rules, change the rules.

I would imaging that the PFA were quite happy to accept a compromise solution meaning the rules don't get examined and possibly changed and no president is made.

But to be clear. In the view of the player and his union the club acted outside of the guidelines and therefore an appeal was justified.
Fair enough, but surely you can agree that in this case it's unfair on the club.

I know you don't agree with the Liverpool red, but taking that out, being unavailable for selection for 10 games, after the investment paid in the player is unacceptable?

I believe that the club should act within the stated guidelines. They think they did. Mario and the PFA thought they didn't. An appeal was lodged.

I believe justice is done.

Next time the guidelines are negotiated this may or may not have an impact.

Fair enough, as I said to Shady I personally don't agree with the rules.

That's all

vinny, our captain, seemed to speak well of him the other night, in spite of redknaps quivering bottom lip
Well he's not exactly going to call his team mate a **** on t.v is he.

and by the same rule, he didnt have to big him up to redknap either, but he did

Come on now, in football as much as any profession you back your own from external criticism regardless of what you think behind closed doors.

Even so, he looks good in training, but there's no way our squad can be satisfied with the returns they've had from Balotelli in competitive competition since he joined.

This has all come about, once again, from a totally unnecessary situation manufactured by Balotelli and his camp.
