I hate to use him as a comparison but Taggart would never, ever allow this to happen at U****d. It could be any player and he would be sold immediately.

knock out.

And don't forget the missed drugs cheat, I mean test.

And the boot to Beckhams head. And the umpteen adulterous affairs by players making the papers. And the rape allegation at the players xmas party.

Would never happen down the road though eh?

No, forever City did, I commented that was something I never thought I'd hear, he came back with the same about tropies, matt agreed, you plus'd 1 that.

Keep up.

I'm not sure my definition of brand is the same as yours, but yes the perception of the club from outsiders is important to me, how we conduct ourselves publicly is thus of major significance. It's hard to ask people to respect our club when stuff like this hit the media circus every once in a while.
But I tend to think that on things that matter, such as CITC, we are peerless. If someone thinks less of my team because of the occasional hair pulling tiff, then that is really their look out rather than ours.

Is anyone spinning it as a good thing? Just think some don't see it as the huge drama that others think it is.

Good to show unity and that we're all pulling in the right direction when we're seven points behind the leaders eh?
You've got it fella. At a time when we are constantly attempting to change a media and public perception that the club is all about money and egos, we get this.

I honestly think this damages Mancini as well as the club. Heard an interesting theory that mancini's blind and futile attempts to prove to the world he can get the best from mario are born from hatred of mourinho and a desire to prove him wrong.
The media and public will never change their perception that our club is all about money and egos because they don't want too!! They were pissed off when we won the title and even though we are now lying second, and in the title race, have continued to put us down. What happened today just gave the media more ammunition to try and knock us off track. I don't think it does any more damage than what they have already done to us.

Isn't the fact that a manager can angrily confront a player after a bad decision a sign of a positive relationship? We want our players pushing and trying hard, on the edge, at training. We also want a manager willing and able to confront the players for bad decisions. Looks to me like Balotelli is not liking the dressing down, but taking it. I get in the faces of my employees, and they push back with me - it is the ones I can get the most direct with that I tend to have the healthiest relationship with.

I didn't see what Balotelli did. I'm not inclined to react to scandal sheet photos with their captions though - if I formed all my opinions about City from the tabloids, I'd be supporting United and their heroic band of brothers who grew up together in their academy. I'd rather hear someone from City's staff talk about this incident.

absolutely!

to add....just like all top managers Bob knows what he's doing. This is the correct handling Mario needs right now (lets face it we all wanna give him a slap at times) & it will bring goals from him starting against Watford.

Note to SWP... Don't let the Zimmerman intimidate you, he might be a cross between Paulie 'walnuts' and Pretty Boy Shaw, and even Mario is scared of him, but he still eats baked beans with his pizza!
I am still waiting for our first meeting to size him up properly. He is the only one on here that makes me feel a little hesitant at any rate.

It's big news for a variety of reasons. The hyperbole that is all things Premier League, happening at the home of the English champions, envied, feared and inspiring bouts of hypocritical jealousy in equal measures.

Unfortunately, it really doesn't happen that often a manager trying to stick one on one of his own players with the cameras clicking away.

"Stick one on one of his own players" ? Do you have ITK on this ?

Or did he just grab his bib ?

At least four or five stories about training ground bust ups last year. Didn't work out too badly for us.

Between manager and player, really?

Players have bust ups all the time, late tackles, over the top piss taking and banter, welching on bets etc

When a manager comes to blows with a player then there's a serious problem, i'm sure they'll both be hit with a disciplinary
