Balotelli (continued - bust up with Mancini pg 18)

Some people on here heave once again fallen for the media witch hunt that circles Manchester City. Lets get some things right shall we. Since our take over, like it or not, the media hate us with a passion. The simple reason for this is because a large proportion of the said media, will support United, Chelsea, Arsenal, Liverpool etc. Therefor, anything negative against City, they will publish, and push into every main stream news corporation possible.

Ive just been sat watching the BBC news at 6'O'Clock, the 3rd news story was this whole farce surrounding Mario and Mancini. How the hell is this main news and how is it one of the top stories on BBC news? The reason - exactly what i have just mentioned above.

Im not Balotelli's biggest fan, when he signed i loved the ora around the guy, but thats when he performed on the pitch. This season, his performances when given chances have been average at best. This whole thing has been blown all out of proportion. All of the photographs point at Mancini being the one who caused the trouble. The tackle from Mario wasnt even that bad, but all of the media, without even seeing it have said it was a shocking tackle. How do they know this, did they see it - did they fuck, but they would rather cause problems and negativity about our football club to make us bad press.

Mario has done some pretty stupid things during his time at our club, but this isnt even close to some of the things he has done. Lets move on, and next time lets hope that the fans of our football club dont take the media bait like this time around.

If he played for United, do you think this would have made the news - dont be stupid.

It was a joke in reference to your disdainful sarcasm at any post which you don't agree with. Surprised you didn't call me a rag too.

I would describe it as more dismissive than disdainful, but I take your point. As to the Rag thing, my skills are far more finely tuned than to make that mistake with you. I'm not the (self-appointed and unofficial) Ragfinder General for nothing.

Gonna be a feisty pint we go for later this month! :)

As long as we don't talk football, we'll be fine. Politics?

Couple of posters names keeping appearing. No doubt they're addressing me as I would expect nothing less from them. I would suggest to them that if their posts aren't getting a reply from me, it's because they have been foe'ed and therefore I can't see them. :)

Bloody hell Billy it's possible people are making general points. I was anyway.

C'mon! You know I'm not talking about you I reply to your posts all the time.

That's true enough I just wonder if you are getting any enjoyment out of this topic anymore? I only ask as I've been embroiled in the odd topic in the past where I thought this isn't fun anymore and left it alone and I'm glad I did. Once it gets to the stage of foeing people, even if they are being tits, I'd ask myself a few questions.

Foeing initially came out as foreign at first....that would have got me foed and banned!

Yeah right ... so as well as shitting on two friends of mine I'm going to give the papers a story they don't have just because you, someone who would argue the earth is square if Mancini told you in a press conference, is demanding I do so. I've told you enough. Mario hates Mancini and wants out of City asap. Beyond that you'll have to wait for Mario to tell his side ...

Not asking you to shit on them - besides you chose to mention them!- just give us more of a gist as to the story - Mario supposedly hating Mancini without any substance could be construed as posting merely to back your own agendas - not saying it is (before you send me a gun and letter photo) but it could be construed as being.
As for me being such a Mancini stooge - not at all - some very questionable selections, substitutions, interviews etc - I'm just more willing to let him learn from his mistakes and become what I believe will be an excellent manager.

I chose to mention them because someone asked me how I knew. The gist is there. Mario can't stand/doesn't like/hates (delete as applicable) Mancini. If you are willing to put aside your preconceived ideas about their relationship being closer than manager/player then the answers to why are pretty apparent.

Funnily enough there's more than a few neutrals I've come across in recent weeks who've said to me "If I were Balotelli I'd fucking chin Mancini". Those people don't find it hard to see reasons for animosity between the two men.

In fairness most of the squad would at varying stages 'love to chin Mancini. In fairness to Mancini he would probably love them to try. So Mario liking/disliking Mancini I don't see as an issue given I doubt if any player actually likes Mancini - I mean its not as if he goes out of his way to be BFF with the players is it?

Mancini seems to thrive on tension and confrontation. He likes good characters but doesn't want angels. Tevez prior to Munichgate was quoted as saying that Mancini likes to create tension and the he (Tevez) didn't really know why. But the squad do seem to play better when there is drama in the ranks so in that sense our current squad is a creation in Mancini's image. It is fractious. It is confrontational with varying players always on the edge of a strop. As Vincent said its a difficult group to handle but it works. You don't go nigh on 2 years unbeaten at home or win difficult away games a man down or whenever we do lose a PL match always win the next one or win so many games in the last 15 minutes without having created something a bit special. Because much as people would like to deny the last 2 years Mancini has welded together a bunch of very talented, ego centric players into a strong team playing some quite sumptuous football.

And yes I have loved every minute of it. Except the bits when I thought it was veering towards the edge of a cliff but boy that feeling when we do a spectacular handbrake turn and win when all was lost - hell in retrospect I have ended up loving the 'edge of cliff' moments as well.

Some people dislike Mancini on here and wish he was Pep or Jose or whoever which is fine. Not everyone will like Mancini, and the players and most of the media will be the first in that particular queue, but it really doesn't matter because like it or not Mancini turned the cash into football silver and provided us with some truly great moments to cherish.

And for that I love the guy

I think I love you, Bob. Great post that sums up why Mancini and the enduring madhouse and rollercoaster that was, is and always will be Manchester City are a match made in heaven.

He gave us a day that will quite possibly never, ever happen again.

At least not in our lifetime....

Seriously, what sort of question is that and what sort of answer are you expecting from the lad, if any?

It's cool mate ... I actually found it quite funny and I've been called much much worse for my position on Mancini.

I know fella but fuck me......

My sense of humour.....from someone who has followed the Blues since the days of "sack Mac" Les McDowell.
I actually appreciate Billy's opinion on Mancini as I also have doubts but we need stability at our club so I am prepared to back Mancini until proven it is a lost cause.
